Biography: Fumihiko Shirai comes in as the youngest FURY dojo graduate to date, debuting at the age of 17. Fumihiko was a star athlete during his education, excelling at most sports he participated in. Shirai traveled from the Island of Okinawa to Osaka to participate in FURY's open try-outs held in August of 2004, and out of 45 applicants, only two remained, with Shirai being one of them. Shirai impressed FURY so much, that Hiroshita Yagato flew to Okinawa to meet with Shirai's parents, who were not open to the idea of Shirai moving away from home, much less wrestling. However, an agreement was finally met, as it was decided that while Shirai competes for FURY, he will also attend classes regularly at Osaka University. In the ring, Shirai is a very passionated kid who shares a love for his homeland, and comes to the ring always wearing a loose fitting Hawaiian shirt. Following a brief training excursion to the United States, Shirai debuted at the start of 2005. Despite his age and experiance, Shirai is a daring young individual who shows a tremendous amount of promise.
