Surprising retirement announced

- A surprising press conference was held today as Hiroaki Nakata addressed a group of reporters at Tokyo's Fighting Café Colosseo. However, what was surprising was who joined Nakata's side, as former FURY star ZERO KUBOTA made a shocking appearance! Kubota, lively as ever, mocked many of the reporters who seemed rather startled at the sight of Kubota, who hadn't been seen in public since losing a match against Nakata that forced him out of FURY.

ZERO finally explained the situation, noting that while he had announced his retirement last year, the truth was that he hadn't seriously made up his mind. However, Kubota noted after traveling across the world, visiting places such as Germany, Afghanistan, and Africa, he had come to grips with the fact that he was ready to step away from the pro-wrestling ring... However, with a cheesy grin smeared across his face, he said he couldn't leave without holding a "masturbatory" event to commemorate his retirement. He noted that he had contacted Nakata earlier last week to ask for his cooperation, as Kubota wants one final match against Nakata in what ZERO claims will be his final match as a pro-wrestler!

Nakata spoke next, noting his surprise when he received ZERO's call. Aside from talking to him backstage after their match last year, Nakata said he had not heard a word from, or even about ZERO since. He said that he was touched that ZERO wanted to end his career against him, but admitted that another part of him accepted the match to avenge the fact that Kubota kicked Nakata in the groin after their match last year. To which ZERO chuckled, before saying "I don't have any memory of this..."

ZERO revealed the details for the event, titled, "ZERO HOUR in KORAKUEN." As the name would entail, the show will be held from Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. The date will be of great significance, as it will be the one-year anniversary of his last match in Pro-Wrestling FURY, 9/21. ZERO said that when word of his retirement show "leaked," he had received offers from the Tokyo Dome, the Kyocera Dome, the Beijing National Stadium in China, and the MGM Grand Garden & Casino in Las Vegas to house the, as he referred to, "historic event." However, ZERO insisted that the event be held at Korakuen Hall, his favorite venue in the world.

ZERO fielded questions from the reporters next. One reporter asked for more details on the card. ZERO smirked, and said that he promised a show that the fans would never forget. However, ZERO said that aside from the main event, the rest of the card would be a complete secret until the event itself! Even then, ZERO promised "several surprises" that would surely not disappoint.

Another reporter asked ZERO why he did not plan on retiring in the promotion he is most recognized in, Pro-Wrestling FURY. ZERO spoke rather somberly in response, saying that when Nakata beat him last year, the arrangement was that he was to never again wrestle in the Pro-Wrestling FURY ring. He said the same thing he said last year, "As much of a heel as I am, when I make a promise, I keep to it!" Plus, by ZERO's own admission, he said that he wanted to be in full control of the event, as after all, he is "the world's greatest match maker." He conceded that he was probably acting like a spoiled child during a "coming of age" party. But said, "If you don't like it, FUCK YOU!"

ZERO closed by thanking the reporters in about as sincere a tone as ZERO can get. He shook hands with Nakata, telling him to hold nothing back on 9/21. Nakata nodded, and said he would expect nothing less from his greatest rival!
