"THE WILL OF FIGHT" @ Fujita Fury Dojo
10/31/2002
165 Fans in attendance (Sold out)
As the crowd gathered into the dojo, the lights faded as "Under Fire" began playing. From the entranceway, yellow strobe lights began flashing through out the dojo. Over the speaker, a man welcomed the crowd to the show as the fans applauded. After that he introduced the owner of FURY, Kazuma Fujita. He was greeted with a thunderous response. Fujita began by asking "Dochirahe?" "How are you?" He talked about last weeks show and said that although many of the wrestlers were not at the level he wanted, he was not disappointed and said that they will get better and stronger. Immediately he wants to see who the best in FURY is. Two weeks from tonight FURY will begin it's "REVIVAL 2002" series. The focus of the tour will be around a round robin tournament. Fujita then shocked the crowd as he announced that he has revived the former UJPW Heavyweight title (Fujita is acknowledged as the last UJPW Heavyweight champion before the promotion folded in 1997.) The winner of the tournament would be presented the UJPW Heavyweight title from Kazuma Fujita and the former president of UJPW Hidehira Kajitani. The tournament would be one block if 14 wrestlers. A wrestler is awarded three points for a victory by pinfall or submission, two points for a victory by ring out or disqualification and one point when he and his opponent fight to a 20 minute draw. The top scorer in the tournament will automatically be placed in the finals with the second and third
highest scorers wrestling in a decision match with the winner wrestling the other finalist to decide the new UJPW Heavyweight champion. Fujita ran off the list of wrestlers who would participate in the tournament, and they are as followed: Hiroaki Nakata, Tetsuhisa Nakagawa, Kyoko Okazaki, Masafuji Yoshida, Nobusan, Shigeru Iwasaki, Daisuke Iwata, ZERO Kubota, Taku Okamoto, Hisai Tomagotchi, Otsuo Kayusa, Kyoshima Yosuken and freelancers/FURY Tag team champions KANJI Sakaigama and "CRIMSON" Jin Hiroto. Fujita again thanked everyone for coming out to the show and also announced that there would be another show again seven days from tonight and hoped everybody would come back.
1st Match: [BETA PARTICIPATION]
1 fall, 20 Minute Time Limit
GORO [BETA] and Yuki Nomura [BETA] defeated Keoni Murata [BETA] and Kensuke Kenashi [BETA] at 8'54" when Nomura pinned Murata with the Twisted Angel Demon Driver. [**]
Notes: BETA is a new start up group that formed a few weeks ago. As a token of goodwill, Fujita offered the new group a match on tonight's show. A lot of comedy spots between GORO and Murata. GORO got a loud response for what he called the "GORO DANCE~!"
2nd Match:
1 Fall, 20 Minute Time Limit
Hisai Tomagotchi pinned Taku Okamoto at 8'07" with the Nodowa Otoshi. [* 3/4]
Notes: This was a rematch from the FURY debut show that saw Okamoto get the win after a flash cradle. That match saw Tomagotchi dominate the match, but never capitalized on getting the pin, which ultimately cost him the win. This time was different though as immediately he tried to get the pin with a huge lariat. Okamoto had a lot more offense in this match this he had in the first one. The last few minutes of the match saw Tomagotchi trying to get quick cradles for a
victory, but Okamoto would keep kicking out until Hisai finally used the Nodowa to keep him down.
-Comments-
Hisai Tomagotchi: Little rat! He kept escaping from me!
Taku Okamoto: Little rat!? I pinned you last week! You just got lucky! How about we have another match next week?
Hisai Tomagotchi: You're on!
3rd Match:
1 Fall, 20 Minute Time Limit
Kyoko Okazaki pinned Nobusan at 12'37" with a Jumping knee strike. [***]
Notes: Kyoko Okazaki, coming off of the tag team title loss from last week looked pretty sharp against Nobusan. Okazaki remained dominate over Nobu through out the match. Although both are rookies, Okazaki stayed one step ahead of him every time. Nobusan was visibly frustrated and after losing his temper when Okazaki kicked out of the Tornado DDT, he fell pray to Kyoko's jumping knee strike for the pinfall.
-Comments-
Kyoko Okazaki: Oi! Nobusan, you fought hard against me. Don't worry
about the loss, you'll come back.
Nobusan: .. No comment.
4th Match:
1 Fall, 30 Minute Time Limit
Kyoshima Yosuken pinned Shigeru Iwasaki at 10'19" with a Flying Crossbody block. [* 1/4]
Notes: The match featured a lot of mat wrestling and submission attempts. Iwasaki connected with a hard high kick that almost saw Yosuken lose via KO. Yosuken came back later in the match with a flying crossbody block to get the three. Nothing really great here.
-Comments-
Kyoshima Yosuken: (In response to a question concerning the Visual Spirits) KANJI Sakaigama! Jin Hiroto! Who do you guys think you are!? You won the titles dishonorably! ZERO Kubota will pay for his treason. I think Otsuo and me should fight the Visual Spirits next week!
5th Match:
1 Fall, 30 Minute Time Limit
Masafuji Yoshida pinned Daisuke Iwata at 7'01" with a Powerbomb hold. [** 1/4]
Notes: Yoshida entered the ring and began dusting the ring with salt before Iwata picked up a pile of it and threw it in Yoshida's eyes and landed a Jack-knife cradle for a near fall. Iwata had control up until he went for the Assatsu Driver, but couldn't lift Yoshida up. From there Yoshida began to systematically destroy Iwata with a series of sumo slaps and even an abise kick that got the crowd going. Iwata counted Yoshida's first Powerbomb attempt with a Triangle choke. Yoshida looked to be in trouble until with a burst of energy lifted Iwata up again and hit the Powerbomb and held Iwata down the three count.
Main Event:
1 Fall, 60 Minute Time Limit
Hiroaki Nakata & Otsuo Kayusa vs. "CRIMSON" Jin Hiroto & ZERO Kubota
Notes: From that time the bell rang, the match was a brawl with Nakata and Kubota fighting it out in the ring and Kayusa and Hiroto brawling in the crowd outside. After about five minutes, KANJI Sakaigama (In street clothes) ran out with a bat and attacked Nakata. Kubota and KANJI worked on Nakata as Tetsuhisa Nakagawa ran out from the back and made the save for Nakata. The referee temporally stopped the match and ordered a restart.
[RESTART] Main Event:
1 Fall, 60 Minute Time Limit
The Visual Spirits & Zero Kubota defeat Hiroaki Nakata, Otsuo Kayusa & Tetsuhisa Nakagawa at 23'22" when Kubota pinned Kayusa with the Sheer Drop Brainbuster [*** 1/4]
Notes: After the match was restarted, Nakata and KANJI actually "wrestled" instead of brawling. They exchanged a series of takedowns on the mat, but when Nakata started to get the upper hand, KANJI responded by poking him in the eye. The match eventually degenerated into another brawl that saw KANJI and Hiroaki fighting in one corner, Hiroto and Nakagawa chucking chairs at each other in the crowd and Kubota and Kayusa fighting in the ring. Kubota ducked
Kayusa's Uraken and hit his Brainbuster. KANJI held Nakata back as Kubota picked up the three count. The three heels quickly scattered backstage.

KANJI Sakaigama: Nakata! Fucker! This is your "ace", FURY!?
Jin Hiroto: What a sad excuse...
KANJI Sakaigama: [...] Oita? Yeah, I just got back. [...] I like it there. Better than this hell hole, anyway...
Jin Hiroto: [Laughs]
KANJI Sakaigama: [...] Yes, I'd like a match with Nakata! Hey fucker! "Ace"! Give me a match!
ZERO Kubota: I think we proved who the men are, and who the boys are around here. I think Nakata and me should fight next week. He was given the title as ace! He hasn't earned it. Jin Hiroto: [Laughs] So what, you both want matches with Nakata now? ZERO Kubota: I suppose we'll both get our chance soon enough.
