Both teams put everything on the line to win, showing off a wide variety of double team attacks. The match went well past twenty-minutes, as both teams began to trade crazy near falls. - Daisuke Iwata and YAKUTA picked up their one and only win of the tournament after defeating Hiroaki Nakata and Shuji Kido. The end came after YAKUTA blocked a wild high kick from Kido, before catching him with a low blow... YAKUTA locked in the STF, forcing Kido to submit... Backstage, Iwata told reporters that they never intended to win the tournament, saying that RYUJI and Manabe Tsuji were the “designated winners.” Iwata however said that soon, their future movements would be known...
- Another one of the more important tournament matches was next as Tetsuhisa NAKAI and Norihiro Akashi met RYUJI and Manabe Tsuji in a match that would determine the A Block winners. The match got off to an immediate start as Tsuji and RYUJI kicked NAKAI to the outside, before isolating Akashi in the ring. WILD STYLE used many of their double team attacks to break Akashi down... However, Akashi was able to duck a double lariat from the two, leading to a big lariat of his own, knocking both RYUJI and Tsuji to the mat! Both heels scrambled to their feet as Akashi poised ready to strike... NAKAI finally returned to the ring to stand by Akashi's side... Only, NAKAI stepped back, before lining up right behind Akashi... Something seemed off in the ring, and Akashi knew it... Suspecting the worst, Akashi turned around to face his partner... ONLY TO BE BLASTED WITH A LARIAT FROM NAKAI!! The fans ERUPTED in shock and confusion as Akashi bumped neck first into the mat. NAKAI slowly walked over to Akashi, before dragging him up and hoisting him across his shoulder, before SPIKING AKASHI WITH THE MAX BULLET! With Akashi laid out, RYUJI finally came off the top rope, CRUSHING Akashi with a diving headbutt! Both RYUJI and NAKAI finally pulled Akashi up, before throwing him into the awaiting arms of Manabe Tsuji, who scooped Akashi up, before FLATTENING him with the Bloody Guts! Akashi was finally put out of his misery as Tsuji covered him, getting the three count!
The newly forged threesome left Akashi lying in the ring, before leaving the ring together. NAKAI refused to comment backstage, saying only that he would address the situation on 4/24 at Korakuen Hall...
- We then came to the final group stage match of the Sakura Tag Festival, in what would determine RYUJI and Manabe Tsuji's tournament final opponents, as TAKU and Go Taniguchi faced Tom Sawyer and Lucas Harper, “The Foreshadowing.” Both teams stared down before the bell, before ultimately exchanging handshakes... The early going saw Tom Sawyer use his speed and agility to out-maneuver the much larger Go Taniguchi. Sawyer finally caught Go with a headscissors, sending him to the outside. Sawyer amazed the Osaka fans by pulling off a Swandive La Silla onto Go on the outside! In the ring, TAKU and Harper went at it with an exchange of forearms. Harper eventually got the better of the situation, leading to him connecting with a snapping Superkick to TAKU's jaw! Around the same time, Sawyer managed to get Taniguchi back into the ring. Harper caught Go with a Superkick, leading to Sawyer blasting Go from behind with a swandive missile kick! Towards the end of the match, it appeared as the FURY's Canadian exports would advance. However, Go managed to get his knees up, countering Sawyer's “Catch the Mist” Firebird splash! Go was able to make the hot tag to TAKU, who nearly tore Sawyer in half with a Spear,, leading to the Jackhammer! TAKU finally connected with the Chojin Bomber. However, TAKU was still able to kick out at 2.5! With Harper back in the ring, the two aimed to finish TAKU with The National Razor. However, just as Harper was about to throw his savate kick, Go Taniguchi BLASTED him with a boot to the side of the head! TAKU managed to rush Sawyer, crotching him on the top rope! TAKU folded Sawyer in half, before cradling and SPIKING Sawyer with the KINNIKU BUSTER! The Osaka fans ERUPTED in cheers as TAKU went for the cover, getting the three!
The win cements TAKU and Go's place in the tournament finals later tonight! Both teams faced off after recovering... The tense atmosphere was finally lifted as Sawyer extended his hand to both TAKU and Go, leading to Harper following suite. Both teams shook hands, earning a loud round of applause from the Osaka fans...
- In tonight's semi final bout, Jet Jaguar made his V2 defense of the F-MAX Jr. Heavyweight title against Nobusan. Both men were ready to pounce as they faced off in the ring. They barely had the power to restrain themselves during the ring introductions. But finally, as the gong sounded to start the match, both men charged towards the center of the ring, where they exchanged a mad flurry of kicks and slaps. Nobusan finally booted Jaguar in the stomach, doubling him over. Nobusan's headlock was quickly countered as Jaguar shoved Nobusan off into the ropes. Jaguar swiftly dropped to the mat, forcing Nobusan to leap over. As Nobu returned, Jaguar then leapfrogged into the air, forcing Nobusan to run under... This time, as Nobusan came back, Jaguar throw up his leg, before connecting with a Jaguar Feint Kick, setting up a HARD Jumping Savate Kick to the FACE! As Nobusan escaused to the outside, Jaguar aimed to hit him with a tope suicida... Nobusan however saw it coming, before BLASTING JAGUAR WITH A CHAIRSHOT TO THE HEAD! The fans ERUPTED in a mixture of concern and anger... Nobusan rolled Jaguar into the ring, before coming for the cover... Somehow, Jaguar was able to kick out after two... With the help of ATSUKA and Kyoto Okazaki, Nobusan was given many opportunities to cheap, giving him control over most of the match. Jaguar would fight back every so often, throwing a punch or a kick whenever he could, only to be knocked back down by Nobusan. Jaguar was finally able to mount some serious offense after blocking Nobu's Firebird Splash with his knees. Jaguar unleashed hell with a flurry of kicks, ending with another Jumping Savate Kick in the corner. With Nobusan stunned, Jaguar climbed onto the apron, aiming for a swandive missile kick... Kyoto Okazaki however tried to interfere, causing Jaguar to block his advance, before connecting with an Asai Moonsault! Back in the ring, Jaguar connected with a Fisherman Buster, giving him a 2.5 pin attempt. Jaguar then went to the top rope, before connecting with a diving headbutt. Jaguar tried to finish Nobusan with the Spiral Bomb, only for ATSUKA to leap onto the apron and distract Referee Akinori Fuwa! Jaguar however caught ATSUKA by surprise with a HARD Dropkick, knocking ATSUKA off the apron! During that time however, Nobusan had climbed up to the top rope. Just as Jaguar turned around, Nobusan leaped onto him, before SPIKING HIM WITH THE SKYLARK DDT! Nobusan went for the cover, ONLY FOR JAGUAR TO KICK OUT AT 2.8! Nobusan wasted time arguing with Referee Fuwa over the count, giving Jaguar time to recover... Nobusan finally climbed back up to the top rope. When Jaguar finally got to his feet, Nobusan leaped, aiming for a second Skylark... Jaguar however countered, BLASTING Nobusan with a kick to the midsection! With Nobu doubled over, Jaguar hoisted him up, before folding him in half with the SPIRAL BOMB! With Nobusan's shoulders firmly pinned to the mat, the referee counted the three!
The fans roared as Jaguar secured his second defense of the title... After being handed back his title, Jaguar spoke on the microphone, thanking the fans for their support. He jokingly said that he always seems to find problems with other masked men... He appealed directly to Nobusan, asking to put an end to their feud. Nobusan thought about Jaguar's words, before finally nodding his head, and extending his hand towards Jaguar! Jaguar immediately refused, and walked away... Backstage, Nobusan told reporters that Jaguar earned his respect tonight, and considered him his superior... ATSUKA, Kyoto Okazaki, and Yoshihiro Shimoda were not happy to hear these words from Nobusan, and told Nobusan he was “washed up” as far as they were concerned. Nobusan said that he would remain in FURY and aid Jaguar against the old generation...
- We finally came to the tournament finals in what would ultimately decide the new F-MAX Tag Team Champions as RYUJI and Manabe Tsuji met TAKU and Go Taniguchi. Both teams took their time in the early going, not to expend too much stamina. TAKU and Tsuji engaged in a test of strength. Tsuji started off strong, forcing TAKU to his knees... TAKU however came back, before forcing Tsuji into the corner, where he BLASTED him with three straight chops! Tsuji escaped to his corner, where he tagged out to RYUJI... For every chop that TAKU threw, RYUJI would intercept it with a headbutt, making good use of his hard head. TAKU eventually tagged out, as Go Taniguchi climbed over the top rope. Both Go and RYUJI traded slaps back and forth, with RYUJI finally getting a headlock... The maneuver would be shortlived however, as Go pushed him off into the ropes, before BLASTING him with a boot to the face! Go continued on offense for the next couple of minutes, until RYUJI cut him off with a dropkick to the right knee. RYUJI continued to attack the limb, before tagging out to Manabe Tsuji. The two made Go's right knee their primary target for the next few minutes, before Tsuji finally locked in a half crab hold. Just as it seemed Go was about to grab the ropes, Tsuji pulled him away before dragging him towards the center of the ring! Go appeared to be ready to submit, until TAKU made the diving save, knocking Tsuji off with the Chojin Bomber! With the fans roaring in support, Go was finally able to crawl to his corner, before tagging out to TAKU, who caught both RYUJI and Tsuji with a flurry of jabs, before knocking both down with wild haymakers! As RYUJI scrambled to his feet, TAKU gored him back to the mat with the spear, setting up the Jackhammer! Unfortunately however, RYUJI was not the legal man, allowing Tsuji to attack TAKU from behind. Both power fighters traded moves for the next couple of minutes, with both men showing off their strength. Tsuji eventually countered TAKU's spear, before using one of his own to take TAKU down! As the match reached the 15:00 mark, both teams appeared to be spent. Tsuji tried to finish TAKU with the Guts Coaster, only for TAKU to block, and counter with a Backdrop. Both men eventually tagged out to their partners, bringing in Go Taniguchi and RYUJI for the closing stretch of the match. RYUJI continued to work over Go, showing some surprising technical skills. After ground Go, RYUJI went to the top rope, where he leaped with the diving headbutt... Go however managed to roll away, sending RYUJI to crash and burn! On one leg, Go blasted RYUJI with northern chops, before finally planting RYUJI into the mat with a Nodowa Otoshi! However, as he made the cover, Tsuji returned to make the save, giving the heels the two-on-one advantage. However, after throwing Go into the ropes, he broke through their double clothesline attempt, before coming back and hitting BOTH with a Double Running Neckbreaker Drop! As Tsuji sat up, TAKU made a sudden return, before connecting with the CHOJIN BOMBER! With RYUJI dazed, Go scooped him up, before locking in the Argentine Backbreaker! After a few reps, Go transitioned into the TAMA TAMA DROP, SPIKING RYUJI INTO THE MAT! The Osaka fans ROARED as Go went for the cover, GETTING THE THREE COUNT!!!
Not only do TAKU and Go win the 2010 Sakura Tag Festival tournament, but they were awarded the F-MAX Tag Team titles... The new champions shared a hug in center ring, before proudly displaying their newly won championships... The two posed with the rest of REAL-ONE afterwards, allowing photographers to take their shots... TAKU finally spoke, remarking how strange it was to be one-half of the F-MAX Tag Team titles with somebody different... However, he noted that Go was his first ever partner in Pro-Wrestling, and tonight they had come full circle as a team. Go took the microphone, and said that tonight was a dream come true for him, winning his very first championship in Pro-Wrestling with his best friend. He said that the days of “Kinniku Kamen” and “Hisai Tomagotchi” were over, declaring that they would be the #1 tag team in Japan now. Go however said that the “Neo Baka Machineguns” wasn't a name befitting the “#1 tag team in Japan,” and suggested that their new team name be called “FURY Machineguns,” or “F.M.G.” TAKU liked the idea, leading to the duo encouraging the Osaka fans in a cant of “EFFU-EMMU-JEE.” TAKU said that REAL-ONE were now the most dominant unit in FURY as they hold both major heavyweight titles. Both TAKU and Go led the fans in a modified version of FURY's traditional show-ending ritual. However, instead of leading the fans shouting, “3! 2! 1! FURY!!,” they changed the phrase to “3! 2! 1! F! M! G!”
