OOC: Better late than never, no?

On what is known as the “Day of Pro-Wrestling” May 31st, Naoki Fukuda emerged as the undisputed Ace of Japanese Pro-wrestling after accomplishing his second F-MAX Unified Heavyweight title against the seemingly unstoppable tank of Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON, Akuma Toyota. Despite prevailing in the end, it would take everything in Fukuda's arsenal to finally quiet Toyota's raging spirit, including three consecutive Mastodon Splashes for the three count. After what many considered to be a mid-year “Best Bout” candidate, Toyota recognized Fukuda's strength with a rare sign of respect by shaking the champion's hand. Fukuda also recognized Toyota's strength, noting that he had never bled so much in one match while pointing to a blood-drenched towel wrapped around his head. In front of the 13,000+ fans in Osaka, Fukuda said that tonight, the strength of Pro-Wrestling FURY was proven, but said he would welcome the challenge of any wrestler from any organization in the world who wanted to state otherwise. However, as he continued to speak, the champion was suddenly ambushed by RAGNARÖK's MANABE TSUJI! The attack lasted only for a moment, as Fukuda's fellow REAL-ONE comrade Kenichiro Hujikawa made the save! On the outside, Tsuji laid out an official challenge to the champion! An irate Fukuda took the microphone, seemingly to accept Tsuji's challenge. However, to the shock of the Osaka crowd, Hujikawa DECAPITATED FUKUDA WITH A SHORT-RANGED AXE BOMBER K! Hujikawa picked up the microphone, and apologized to Fukuda for the attack, but said that regardless of their friendship, he wanted to be F-MAX Unified Heavyweight Champion... Hujikawa left alone, as his “KobaKen” partner, Jun Kobayashi was left in the ring stunned. After coming to, Fukuda smiled, and said he looked forward to seeing this play out...

Before FURY prevailed in the main event, they were dealt a decisive blow as Akira Takayoshi failed to lift CRIMSON's C-1 Heavyweight title from the hands of CRIMSON Ace, Nobuyori Shimizu. The two put on a fierce technical clinic, showcasing a wide variety of styles ranging from Lucha Libre to European Catch. In the end, Shimizu would pull out a cross-armed variation of his Thunder Fire Powerbomb to ultimately put away the NEW FORCE General. Shimizu praised Akira, saying that on paper, Akira was the better overall wrestler... However, Shimizu said his spirit was undying, and vowed to never let CRIMSON's top prize fall into “enemy hands.” That comment garnered him some boos from the pro-FURY audience... Akira however came to his defense, saying that even though they were on opposite sides, he recognizes Shimizu as one of the best wrestler's in Japan, and thus would never boo him. The two shook hands in the center of the ring, while possibly hinting at working together in the future.

The “FURY Machineguns” continued their good fortune after retaining the F-MAX Tag Team titles for the first time over Otsuo Kayusa and Ooinaru Waza's newest member, Dusty Griffith! Kayusa's import appeared to be paying off, as TAKU and even Go struggled with Dusty's size and immense strength. Despite the rough beginning, TAKU and Go rallied back with team work. Ultimately, TAKU was able to pin Kayusa after a Kinniku Buster, followed by the Chojin Bomber. After the match, TAKU antagonized the CRIMSON contingency in the building. Before long, CRIMSON's Kenjiro Amagawa and FURY Dojo-trained Shinsuke Takahashi appeared! TAKU acted like he didn't recognize Takahashi, before Go finally blurted out, “SHIN-CHAN!” Takahashi noted that “Shin-chan” was a nickname Go had given him in the dojo... He also noted it was a nickname he was not fond of... After the comedy, Amagawa and Takahashi both challenged the champions. Again, TAKU refused, saying “whats-his-name” doesn't deserve a title match... Of course, Go ignored TAKU, and accepted the match anyways...

For the second time in his career, Jet Jaguar put his mask on the line to face FURY's very first masked wrestler, Nobusan! The dichotomy of the match was interesting, as Jaguar was booed vociferously by the Osaka crowd, who rallied behind Nobusan! In usual Nobusan fashion, the match was mired by interference and flagrant disregard for the rules. In fact, Nobusan managed YANK OFF HIS MASK! As Jaguar bent over to cover up, Nobusan rolled Jaguar up with a Small Package hold, just as Referee Edd Sasaki turned around TO COUNT THE THREE! The finish was met with a mixed reaction from the audience. Keeping his own mask was seemingly more important than taking Jaguar's, as Nobusan immediately tried to escape up the ramp, only to bump into FURY President Eizo Hayakawa! The President tried to block Nobusan's path, prompting Nobusan to erupt in laughter... After a brief stand off, Hayakawa finally moved, only for MASATO OSAGAWA to step out in his place! Osagawa quickly dragged Nobusan back to the ring, as President Hayakawa called for the match to be restarted! Jaguar had a brief comeback as the restart began... However, Nobusan once again found a way out after BLASTING him between the legs in front of Referee Edd Sasaki, forcing him to DISQUALIFY NOBUSAN! The match was restarted one final time at the request of Jaguar himself! The third time was indeed the charm, as Jet Jaguar once again managed to retain his identity after using an Avalanche Fisherman Buster... The post-match was an extremely emotional scene, as Nobusan was met by this mentor, KANJI Sakaigama, along with Yoshihiro Shimoda and ATSUKA... Nobusan finally accepted his face, before requesting that KANJI himself by the one to remove the mask. Finally, for the first time in his near eight-year career, Nobusan revealed his face, along with his true identity: Noburo Uchida from Osaka, age 27. With tears streaming down his face, Nobu explained that he first wanted to become a pro-wrestler after seeing Lucha Libre at the age of 12, and said that for the next seven years, he dedicated every waking moment of his life to achieve his dream, before finally joining the FURY Dojo. However, he said that after eight years of “being a kid,” he now wanted to grow up. He took his mask from KANJI, before presenting it to Jet Jaguar, who graciously accepted it. Nobu said that Jaguar was the future of the Junior Heavyweights, and always knew he would be the one to take his face... His praising didn't sit too well with Shimoda and ATSUKA, who hurled bottles of water at him before leaving the ring... Nobu said his future was a blank page. As Nobu left, Jaguar took the microphone, before asking Nobu to return to Pro-Wrestling FURY! The Osaka fans roared with approval... However, Nobu turned Jaguar down, saying “even without the mask, I am Nobusan. And Nobusan is a free spirit!”

Have we seen the last of Hiroaki Nakata...? Tatsumichi Akamatsu avenged his loss against Nakata from a year prior in a completely one-sided bout. Nakata was on defense for most of the match, taking Akamatsu's Kinniku Buster AND Jumping High Kick. In the end, Akamatsu pulled out his deadly “Atomic Impact” to silence Nakata once and for all... The Osaka fans didn't know what to make of Nakata's performance. Akamatsu stayed with Nakata until he came to, before pulling him to his feet. Despite appearing dazed, Nakata shook Akamatsu's hand out of respect... On the microphone, Nakata noted that for the last couple of years, he had questioned his worth as a Pro-Wrestler, and noted things like becoming WWA National Heavyweight Champion, and even his BREAK BLOW concept as attempts to make a lasting impact... However, he stated that after losing the WWA title to Riki Ichiro, and now falling to Akamatsu in a one-sided match, his doubt is now at an all-time high. To the shock of the Osaka fans, Nakata announced he was LEAVING PRO-WRESTLING FURY. Nakata vowed to return in the future, but only after he found what he was looking for, and said the place he would find it in was America...

The never-ending blood feud between Norihiro Akashi and RAGNARÖK boss Tetsuhisa NAKAI had another chapter written tonight. In the end, NAKAI used “Odin's Hammer” behind the referee's back, allowing him to steal the victory! Backstage, NAKAI denounced the ways of Bushido, and said from now on, he was now a Viking.

FURY crowned the very first F-MAX Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions tonight as well. ATSUKA and Yoshihiro Shimoda secured their way to the finals with a referee stoppage win over Etsuya Kawachi and Hidaka Kamon. Kawachi unfortunately suffered a shoulder injury after being thrown over the top rope, forcing the match to be stopped. The OKINAWA SPEED STARS would earn their way to the finals with a thrilling win over former Nansei duo, “HOT LIMIT,” Keisuke Rongai and Wataru Yamada. In the finals, the New Generation Junior Army was dealt a decisive blow as ATSUKA and Yoshihiro Shimoda defeated the SPEED STARS to become the first F-MAX Jr. Tag Champions. After the match, Shimoda said that tonight was a message to every Junior Heavyweight in Japan. “If you want to be the best, you must get through us!”

During intermission, President Hayakawa made a bitter-sweet announcement, revealing that tonight would be the very last event under the “DREAM + INFINITY” banner... The announcement was met with loud boos from the crowd, until Hayakawa assured the fans that the 5/31 tradition would continue. Hayakawa directed the fans towards the giant video screen, which proudly displayed “WE LOVE KANSAI!!” A large banner finally dropped from the ceiling, revealing, “KANSAI PRO-WRESTLING FESTIVAL 2010 in OSAKA.” President Hayakawa said that the event would be a joint collaboration between Pro-Wrestling FURY and BATTLE FUSION, and would showcase the best of Kansai Pro-Wrestling!

As per tradition, FURY paid tribute to Burning Spirit Pro-Wrestling as Kazuma Fujita made his long awaited return to Japan, as he teamed with his arch enemy, James Goodwin. Together, the two faced the unique combination of Junior Heavyweight Pioneer, KANJI Sakaigama and the returning BIG POPPA DAN! Most of the match was comedy involving Dan and Fujita... In the end, Kazuma Fujita used the Fujita Lariat to put the antagonistic Sakaigama away. Sakaigama claimed to have gone easy on Fujita, saying he would prove nothing by beating up an “old man...” The other three individuals had their say in the ring... Dan, who has become a popular Variety Show comedian after retiring from Pro-Wrestling, thanked everyone for tonight, and said it was a good way to officially end his career... Back stage, Goodwin dropped a major bombshell, revealing that he would be RETIRING in July. He wouldn't give any other details, but promised more information would be known soon.

“WILD STYLE,” Manabe Tsuji and RYUJI proved their superiority tonight over Pro-Wrestling DYNAMITE's fellow heel tandem, Goro Iijima and Niwatori Ogawa. In the end, WILD STYLE would debut their “Chi Fun Sai” double-team finisher to take the victory. The combination technique saw Tsuji hoisting Ogawa up for the Bloody Guts... Before doing so however, RYUJI STAMPED Ogawa's exposed face with a double foot stomp, followed by Tsuji BURYING OGAWA THROUGH A TABLE with the Bloody Guts for the three count!
