- Conspicuous by his absence from tonight's show in Ibaraki, Hiroaki Nakata traveled back to Kanagawa to hold a special meeting with members of the DYNAMITE office, namely TATSUMICHI AKAMATSU! While the contents of the meeting are being kept under wraps, Nakata in the end did reveal that he laid out an offer for Akamatsu to attend his 1/23 BREAK BLOW show at Shinjuku FACE as an observer. Nakata was tight-lipped regarding the rest of the meeting, but made it clear that he'd like to see Akamatsu advance upon either the FURY ring, or the BREAK BLOW ring...
- Many fans continue to inquire about the whereabouts and condition of “Mr. 300%” Kazuma Fujita, who underwent successful surgery to repair prolonged damage to his shoulder. It had come out in recent days that Fujita had actually sustained the injury weeks prior to the F-MAX Summit tournament, only to suffer even more severe damage by pushing himself all the way to the semi finals of the tournament. In recent weeks, including his appearance on the 12/21 Osaka Castle Hall show, Fujita has been reluctant to give a timetable for his return. However, Fujita promises that he will indeed return.
Following his surgery, Fujita has returned the hobby he picked up years ago during his last hiatus, joining the cast of the NTV drama, “High School Panic.” Fujita plays the role of “K. Fujitayama,” the school's stern, bamboo sword wielding gym teacher. The show has a recurring gag where the show's star, 17-year old Taro Oyama constantly confuses “Fujitayama” with a pro-wrestler with a similar name. While “Fujitayama” always refutes the claim, he usually ends up lariating Oyama in frustration... The show wraps up taping later this month, and will air in March.
