[4/03/2009] FURY News & Notes

- Fans have been quick to notice that one notable heavyweight is missing from this year's Sakura Tag Festival in the 145kg Chikao Kessin. However, it was Kessin himself who appealed to be absolved of this year's tournament for a particular reason, as he intends to challenge Ryo Inoue for his F-MAX Unified Heavyweight title!

In his FURYnet blog post this morning, Kessin revealed his intentions publicly, siting his growing anger and frustration at Inoue's actions since entering the FURY ring. Kessin said his lack of respect for the road FURY has forged is an insult to every wrestler to wrestle on the FURY mat, and said his treatment of the F-MAX Unified Heavyweight title is an even bigger insult, as the championship is arguably the most prestigious championship in the world.

Kessin stated that after several calls to President Nishida's office, he has finally arranged an emergency meeting with Mr. Nishida to be held later on today. Kessin boldly stated that he would NOT wait for his chance, and said he wanted to face Inoue THIS MONTH, during the Sakura Tag Festival tournament!

Another announcement is expected to be made later today, concluding Nishida's meeting with Kessin.
