- Over 3,000 fans packed the JCB Hall in Tokyo to witness the tournament finals of the 2009 J1-MAX League tournament, as Jet Jaguar and Shin Kaiju met one month after their F-MAX Jr. Heavyweight title match to decide the tournament champion. First however, the fans were treated to another 3WAY dance pitting Chikao Kessin, Go Taniguchi, and Ryuugo Nagashima against one another. Like the other 3WAY matches on the series, this was mostly comedy. In the end, Kessin managed to toss Taniguchi from the ring. Nagashima tried to get the jump on the sumo, but instead was crushed with a brutal scrap buster to give Kessin the victory!
- Next, "Mr. 300%" Kazuma Fujita and "Greco Superman" Mamoru Sekishima met Masafuji Yoshida and Tetsujin in a Teacher/Pupil match. The Tokyo fans were heavily into the early exchanges between Fujita and Yoshida, who traded hard chops back and forth. The two "young boys" were also eager to get at one another. Sekishima's strength was too much for Tetsujin early on, until Tetsujin showed some ingenuity by STOMPING the rookie's feet, before grounding him with a headlock! Towards the end, the Yoshida Sumo Gym managed to isolate Sekishima, as Yoshida mustered all of his strength to sink him into the mat using the Masayume, leading to Yoshida picking up the pinfall...
- In the fifth match, NEW FORCE clashed with Ooinaru Waza one day after Otsuo Kayusa's successful defense of the F-MAX Unified Heavyweight title over Naoyuki Watanabe. Both teams traded control through out this high-spurt encounter. In the end, it would be Seiji Sasaki catching Kazuki Sendo with a crucifix hold to pin his shoulders on the mat just long enough for the three count. After the match, Kayusa officially acknowledged Akira Takayoshi as his next challenger, while Akira acknowledged Kayusa and a partner of his choosing as the next challengers to his and Watanabe's F-MAX Tag Team titles. Kayusa revealed that his partner would be none other than a fellow former holder of the F-MAX Tag Team titles, CHIKAO KESSIN!
- A special A Block vs. B Block tag match was presented next, putting unlikely allies together. RYUJI tried almost immediately allow Kyoto Okazaki to pin him, only for the A Block team to make the save. In the end of a spirited bout, CRIMSON's Hayato Saigo would pull off the victory after crushing Hidaka Kamon with the spectacular Phoenix Splash for the pinfall. After the match, Saigo thanked FURY for inviting him to compete in the tournament. He noted that he would also be competing on FURY's 7/25 event in his home island of Okinawa... Jin Hiroto also spoke, saying that over the course of the last seven years, both he and Pro-Wrestling FURY have matured and grown, and said he would continue to return to the FURY ring in the future.
- In the semi final, Naoki Fukuda faced off against his former friend TAKU in an anything goes No DQ Deathmatch. Both sides arrived ready for battle, as Fukuda brought chairs and trash cans to the ring, while TAKU arrived carrying a chain. Neither man wasted time, as Fukuda charged TAKU in the isle way. Both men brawled around ringside, using whatever they could get their hands on as a weapon. Their fight even spilled back behind the curtain. The two continued to make use of whatever they could find, including a vending machine that Fukuda hurled TAKU into! They eventually fought their way back towards the fans, as TAKU had gained control of the tempo by wrapping a chain around Fukuda's neck and dragging him! With both men bloody, the fight finally reached the ring. TAKU continued to use weapons and chokes to punish Fukuda. Fukuda eventually gained the strength to fight back as the JCB Hall fans rallied behind him. However, things became even more problematic as UPRISER'Z began to constantly interfere, keeping Fukuda from gaining any momentum. Even with REAL-ONE coming to his aid, the numbers were too much for both Fukuda and REAL-ONE, as UPRISER'Z eventually put Fukuda through a table as TAKU hurled him with a top rope Powerbomb, before finally finishing him off with the Chojin Bomber. TAKU and the rest of UPRISER'Z posed atop of Fukuda's fallen body, as the Tokyo fans booed vociferously. TAKU taunted Fukuda on the microphone, and said that UPRISER'Z is strongest after cutting its "dead weight."
- We finally came to the grand finale of the 2009 J1-MAX League tournament, as Jet Jaguar, winner of the A Block battled Shin Kaiju, winner of the B Block to determine the champion. The Tokyo fans were rabid as both men made their way to the ring. The moment both fighters entered the ring, their eyes locked on, as another chapter in the storied rivalry of Jet Jaguar and Shin Kaiju was set to begin. The gong sounded, as Kaiju immediately darted towards Jaguar. Jaguar however was able to evade, before catching the F-MAX Jr. Heavyweight Champion with a flurry of kicks to the leg and body, followed by a jumping savate kick to the jaw, knocking Kaiju prone in the corner! However, as Jaguar followed in, Kaiju ducked down, before slinging Jaguar overhead, prompting him to land on the apron. After knocking Kaiju back with an elbow, Jaguar attempted to sail over the ropes with a swan dive attack. Kaiju however acted first, as he shoved Jaguar off, sending him tumbling to the JCB Hall floor! Kaiju ruled over Jaguar for the next few minutes on the outside. He dealt severe damage after slamming Jaguar head first into the steel ring post. Kaiju continued to bully Jaguar in the ring by using short, powerful attacks to wear him down. However, Jaguar finally got on offense after ducking a lunging Kaiju Lariat attempt, before catching Kaiju with a kneel kick! With the fans soundly behind Jaguar, he unleashed a flurry of offense, climaxing with Jaguar connecting with a missile kick. Jaguar however was met with some resistance as he attempted to scoop Kaiju up for a bodyslam, causing Jaguar to fire off a series of forearms. The F-MAX Jr. Champion promptly answered back with shots of his own. Jaguar eventually appeared to have subdued Kaiju. However, as he came off the ropes, Kaiju struck like a cobra, as he tossed Jaguar into the air, before catching him and spiking him with a Death Valley Bomb! After a failed pin attempt, Kaiju worked over Jaguar's lower back with an elevated crab hold. Slowly, Kaiju cranked back further on the hold, inflicting even more pain on Jaguar. Eventually, Jaguar was able to grasp the bottom ropes for the break. Kaiju however didn't let up, as he continued to work over Jaguar's back with stomps. Kaiju later tried to finish Jaguar with another Death Valley Bomb. Jaguar however countered, cradling Kaiju with a crucifix hold for a 2.5 count! As Kaiju scrambled to his feet, Jaguar met him with a vicious savate kick to the stomach, followed by an axe kick to the back of Kaiju's skull! With Kaiju crouched, Jaguar tried to muster the strength to connect with the Spiral Bomb... However, Kaiju immediately dropped down to a knee to prevent the attack, prompting Jaguar to fight back with ANOTHER axe kick to the back of the head! This time, Jaguar seemed primed to connect with the Spiral Bomb... However, referee Edd Sasaki would be distracted by RYUJI, which allowed Manabe Tsuji to attack Jaguar from behind, before driving him face first into the mat with the Guts Coaster! After Kaiju recovered, he finally went for the cover... However, enough time had passed to where Jaguar was able to kick out... Moments later, Kaiju would connect with a vicious Kaiju Lariat, sending Jaguar into doing a 180 degree flip! But even that wouldn't be enough to keep Jaguar down, as he kicked out at 2.9! Kaiju pounded the mat in frustration, before motioning over to RYUJI, who immediately began distracting referee Edd Sasaki once more, allowing Manabe Tsuji to roll in... With Kaiju perched on the top rope, Tsuji hoisted Jaguar's body up towards Kaiju, who set him up for the CRASH-ON Powerbomb! However, before he could follow through, ATSUKA and YAKUTA bolted towards the ring, fighting both Tsuji and RYUJI off! Amidst the confusion, Jaguar countered Kaiju's top-rope powerbomb with a hurricanrana, sending Kaiju's body crashing to the mat! Once more, Jaguar tried to connect with the Spiral Bomb, and even managed the strength to lift the 100kg Kaiju up! However, just like their previous bout in June, Kaiju had one final trick up his sleeve, as he began to unravel the strings on Jaguar's mask... With one mighty tug, Kaiju YANKED OFF Jaguar's mask! ... However, Kaiju, along with the 3,000+ fans in the JCB Hall quickly realized that Jaguar was WEARING AN EXTRA MASK UNDEFNEATH! Kaiju shook his head franticly as Jaguar began to rotate, before SPIKING THE BACK OF KAIJU'S SHOULDERS INTO THE MAT! Jaguar folded Kaiju's legs behind his shoulders as Edd Sasaki made the count, ONLY FOR KAIJU TO KICK OUT AT 2.999! With loud chants of "JET-TOH!" filling JCB Hall, Jaguar wasted no time climbing the ropes, before flying off and CRUSHING KAIJU'S BODY WITH THE JAGUAR SPECIAL! Jaguar hooked the legs, as both Sasaki and the Tokyo fans MADE THE THREE COUNT!!!
The fans ROARED as Jaguar pumped his fists into the air. He was quickly congratulated by YAKUTA, and the man he edged out to advance to the finals, ATSUKA. The UPRISER'Z sect returned and tended to Kaiju in the corner, as Jaguar was presented with his prizes by President Hiroshi Nishida... Afterwards, Jaguar was interviewed by popular idol Keiko Aizawa. President Nishida then presented Jaguar with his trophy, and announced that as the winner of the 2009 J1-MAX League, Jet Jaguar would be granted a match for the F-MAX Jr. Heavyweight title at a time and place of his choosing... Jaguar asked Mr. Nishida if he would be able to decide what type of match it could take place under... Mr. Nishida said normally the right only extended to deciding when the title match takes place... However, given the history Jaguar has with Kaiju, he said he would allow Jaguar to decide the type of match... Jaguar finally turned his attention to the champion, who continued to lay motionless in the corner. Jaguar noted how Kaiju had been his nemesis even before they both entered FURY, but said that Kaiju hadn't made it personal until 5/31, when Kaiju attacked Jaguar and removed his mask, and also noted how Kaiju pulled off his mask to score a pinfall in their 6/20 F-MAX Jr. Heavyweight title match. Jaguar said he wanted Kaiju to feel the shame and embarrassment he felt when the mask given to him by Shoji Suzuki was removed, and announced that he would challenge Kaiju for the F-MAX Jr. Heavyweight title at 8/11 at Ryogoku Kokugikan! After a brief pause, Jaguar finally screamed, "...MASCARA! CONTRA! MASCARA!" The Tokyo fans ERUPTED in cheers and applause, as Kaiju finally sat up in attention... Jaguar continued, saying he wanted to end their feud once and for all in Ryogoku... Kaiju surprisingly nodded in agreement, before extending his hand towards Jaguar! Jaguar apprehensively accepted Kaiju's gesture, which made the 8/11 blockbuster official! While Kaiju didn't attack Jaguar, he pulled Jaguar in close, before muttered into the microphone, "...In Ryogoku, I will expose your ugly face permanently!"
After Kaiju left, Jaguar continued to celebrate his victory... He thanked ATSUKA and YAKUTA for their support, but questioned why ATSUKA would help him after being knocked out of the tournament by Jaguar. ATSUKA said that he was still pissed off over the loss, but said he would have been even more angry had Kaiju won the tournament. Before closing the show, President Nishida dropped a major blockbuster after seeing the events that just played out, as he noted that due to the nature of this match, the F-MAX Jr. Heavyweight Title + Mascara Contra Mascara match would HEADLINE THE 8/11 RYOGOKU KOKUGIKAN SHOW! The fans ROARED with approval as Jaguar's jaw hit the floor. In front of the Tokyo fans, Jaguar promised to put his live on the line to protect the lineage of the Jet Jaguar mask!
