Biography: Yoshida had the potential to be a sumo wrestling legend when he debuted, but Yoshida felt that sumo wrestling just wasn't for him. He retired after his first professional match and persued pro-wrestling. He came to Kazuma Fujita in 1999 and took him on as a student. After years of training, Yoshida debuted on the FURY exhibition show on August 14, 2002 losing to Kyoto Okazaki in a different styles match... Yoshida has been a slow learner, but is not the worst worker you'll see. He's recently embraced his Sumo past as he has adapted a sumo wrestling gimmick which involves him dusting the ring with salt (Which sometimes the rudo's will often throw back into his eyes for a laugh.) Following the conclusion of their violent brawl at the Revival Series final show, Masafuji Yoshida formed a Sumo Brothers tag team with Chikao Kessin, a former Sumo champion. "Sumo Brothers" achieved success after two years together by winning the KFD Tag Team titles on 12/21/2004. Kessin and Yoshida exploded in popularity in 2006, when they invaded PROMO * JAPAN's PWC Tag League tournament. Incredibly, Yoshida and Kessin would proudly represent FURY in winning the tournament, and becoming the first PWC World Tag Team champions. Inspired by his partner Kessin's career growth, Yoshida took measures to strengthen himself in single competition and developed his new "Masayume" attack, which helped him score his a huge win over Hiroaki Nakata enroute to receiving his first shot at the KFD Heavyweight title. However, despite his leveling up, he would be unable to wrestle the title away from the champion at the time, Mitsuharu Nogami. With Kessin, Yoshida returned to "past days" by regaining the PWC World Tag Team titles from the legendary Jason Ramsey and Naoyuki Watanabe in May of 2008.
