Biography: Tetsuhisa Nakagawa is a second generation pro-wrestler, as the son of the legendary Tetsuhiro "Kendo" NAKAI, who dominated the late 70's, 80's and early 90's as one of the top stars in Japan. When his father passed away in 1995, Nakagawa was initiated into Kazuma Fujita and Hiroshita Yagato's dojo. NAKAI spent five years in training before even having his first match, giving him a tremendous edge over most rookies when he debuted in 2002. Nakagawa debuted on August 14, 2002, teaming with Fujita to face Hiroshita Yagato and his dojo rival, Hiroaki Nakata. Nakagawa tried his best, but he was eventually pinned with Nakata's Dragon Suplex hold. When FURY formed in late 2002, Nakagawa promised to make FURY HIS battle field. Internal strife between Nakagawa and Nakata continued, as they battled the forces of VioMAX. During the first ever REVIVAL SERIES tournament for the UJPW Heavyweight title, Nakagawa inherited his namesake, becoming "Tetsuhisa NAKAI". NAKAI faired well in the tournament in making it to the semi finals of the tournament, before falling once again to Hiroaki Nakata's Dragon Suplex hold. NAKAI would eventually get his revenge in the coming year, when he finally beat Hiroaki Nakata to capture the UJPW Heavyweight title, being the only second generation holder of the championship. NAKAI faced tough challenges early on as champion, including crazed Vale Tudo fighter Kazushi Fukuyama, and TSUKYO, which spawned a large blood-feud with ZERO Kubota, which would span the course of the rest of the year. In 2003, NAKAI was forced to vacate and abandon the UJPW Heavyweight title, as FURY had chosen to institute their own championship. NAKAI managed to end his feud with ZERO Kubota in the first round of the tournament to determine the first KFD Heavyweight champion, but was unfortunately beaten in round two by Kenji Tanamura. However, NAKAI's biggest feat would come a few months later, as he challenged the leader of the Japanese Pro-Wrestling community, Kazuma Fujita! The epic encounter spanned nearly thirty-minutes, before NAKAI achieved the single biggest win in his career. The following year, NAKAI challenged another strong member of the Pro-Wrestling community in Genji Yamato. However, Yamato proved to be the better man that night, and barely edged NAKAI out in another classic. NAKAI shocked the pro-wrestling community in 2007 when he resigned from the company to form deathmatch wrestling group "MAXIMUM JAPAN." NAKAI hoped to leave on good terms; with the hope of eventually returning. However, NAKAI was blacklisted due to Kazuma Fujita's hatred of "garbage" wrestling. Just when NAKAI accepted his banishment, NAKAI was brought back to FURY by generation rival Hiroaki Nakata as one of the three members of "ORIGIN." After the destruction of ORIGIN, NAKAI quickly bounced back by dethroning Akira Takayoshi to become the F-MAX Unified Heavyweight Champion. NAKAI had an incredible end to 2008, first by becoming the first F-MAX Champion in history to win the F-MAX Summit tournament, along with an incredible (albeit controversial) victory over the infamous Ryo Inoue at Osaka Castle Hall.
