Biography: Kazuma Fujita began his fighting career not in Pro-Wrestling, but in the world of Mixed Martial Arts fighting in 1985. In that time, MMA was very underdeveloped and had little to no rules, nor sanctioning. With a background in amaresu and judo, Fujita trained for the SHOOT FC promotion's AMGP. Am amateur tournament to decide who would face veteran SHOOT FC Champion Sadao Toshihara. Fujita entered the tournament weighing 206lbs. Fujita went win the tournament, defeating four challenges in a matter of three days. Fujita challenged Sadao Toshihara on 12/21/1985 and would DEFEAT the champion with a Cross Armbreaker, stunning the world. Fujita would make seven successful defenses of the title, before losing an embarrassing KO to Keisuke Ushiba. With this defeat, Fujita would decide to retire from MMA, and instead pursue his life long dream of being a pro-wrestler. He approaches Union of Japan (UJPW) and is immediately initiated into their dojo. He would remarkably debut only months later, teaming with UJPW Ace Kendo NAKAI and Goemon Iseki to defeat GIANT Tono, Kazuhiko Taguchi and Togai Nagasaki in front of 8,500 fans in the Tokyo Sumo Arena.

Fujita would compete in his first high-profile singles match in 1989, facing his sempai Kendo NAKAI in front of 9,000 fans once again at the Tokyo Sumo Arena. Fujita would ultimately lose the match, but would earn the respect of NAKAI and the fans of Pro-Wrestling. Fujita gained even more notoriety in 1991, winning UJPW's "Glory Bound" cup. The GB Cup was a tournament to determine UJPW's strongest dojo graduate. He would capture his first ever Pro-wrestling championship in 1992, as he and Kendo NAKAI became the UJPW Tag Team champions. The two men would meet one year later once again, this time Kendo NAKAI would defend his UJPW Heavyweight title against Fujita on UJPW's first ever Nippon Budokan show. Again, Fujita would fall to his sempai, but this time taking his teacher to a 25-minute grueling classic.

In his biggest win at this point in his career, Kazuma Fujita would finally defeat his teacher in 1995. Two years after their previous singles match. Fujita debuted his variation of the Lariat to defeat NAKAI at 30:26. After the match, NAKAI announces that he would cut back on his schedule and named Fujita as the leader of UJPW. Fujita would live up to the name as he challenged gaijin UJPW Heavyweight champion Shane Jackson, and captured the UJPW Heavyweight title in 19 minutes after the Fujita Lariat. Fujita would remain the champion until Union of Japan's closure in 1996.

After several years of being away from the Pro-Wrestling ring, Fujita joined Koji Tanaka's upstart Burning Spirit Pro-Wrestling group. He made his official BSPW debut in a Six Man Tag Team Elimination Match at the "Hyogo Explosion Night" special (6/10/01 - Kobe World Hall), out lasting everyone on his team, and pinning Jax "BOOM BOOM" Gellar after a Nodowa Otoshi, but then just barely falling to El Super Rudo's Vertical Drop Brainbuster. Kazuma then went into the "Road To The Golden Crown" Tournament, but fell quickly to Jax "BOOM BOOM" Gellar's Paralyzer at "On The Road To Reflection" (7/07/01 - Aomori Budokan) in the first round.

Then, at BSPW's first pay-per-view "Reflections" (8/29/01 - Osaka Castle Hall), Fujita faced BSPW hero Vinnie "fucking" Catante, and just barely pulled off the upset win, instantly restoring interest with the fans. Fujita continued to make a name for himself with huge wins over Mr. Miyasashi, Ryo Kitase, and even avenged his Golden Grown Tournament loss to defeat Jax "BOOM BOOM" Gellar.
Fujita also occasionally teams up with Big Poppa Dan. Together, the two have gained many big wins. During the "BURNING WINTER 2001" Tour, Fujita won the "CHALLENGE THE GOLDEN CROWN" Tournament by defeating El Super Rudo and Keiji Takano to win the tournament and earn a shot at Jason Roswell and the Golden Crown.

Kazuma Fujita went on to BSPW's second SkyPerfecTV! Pay-Per-View, "Resurrection", and defeated Jason Roswell in a 30+ minute classic, to capture the Burning Spirit Pro Wrestling Golden Crown Championship. However, his title reign would be short lived as due to a nagging neck injury that was re-aggravated in a match against James Goodwin (5/04/02 - Nagoaka Welfare Hall). Fujita would attempt to work through the injury, but after a tag match featuring him and his partner Big Poppa Dan vs. Vinnie "Fucking" Catante (5/14/02 - Tokyo Bay NK Hall) saw Roswell use his "Egotism" finish. It saw Roswell try and lift the massive Fujita up, but was unable to fully hoist him up and causing Fujita to be dropped on his head at a sharp angle. Despite being numb in the arms for several minutes, no permanent damage had occurred. He was told however, that he had a long road ahead of him if he wished to return to the ring. His reign as Golden Crowd Champion officially ended on 6/29/02 at BSPW's first anniversary show. In front of 6,500 fans in attendance, BSPW President Koji Tanaka asked Fujita to do the respectable thing and forfeit the title since he could not defend it. Fujita reluctantly agreed, BUT not without a stipulation of his own. Koji Tanaka had announced that the title would be put up in a four block round-robin tournament called "THE ROAD TO HYOGO". Fujita asked that if he had medical clearance by the time the tournament came around, he could compete. Tanaka waited a few minutes as he thought about it. The fans were solidly behind Fujita. Tanaka, who as a friend of Fujita was concerned about his health, simply replied "…Hai."

Fujita then worked hard for nearly three months preparing for his return. Still, not knowing if he would be allowed to return, he worked as hard as he did without the injury. He did finally get the medical clearance to return to the ring and he was officially entered into the Road to Hyogo tournament. He was placed in the A Block with "MAMMOTH" Furiano, Stevie .C and Blizzard. His return match came on 8/07/02 from the sold out Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. Fujita received the single loudest reaction in BSPW. The fans were excited to have Fujita back. That night, Fujita teamed with his on again-off again tag team partner Big Poppa Dan and downed the team of "MAMMOTH" Furiano & "Puroresu Wizard" k0ji-sake. Fujita scored the pinfall in the match after using his Fujita (Thunder Fire) Driver on k0ji-sake.

His first tournament match came against "MAMMOTH" Furiano (8/09/02 - Tokyo Differ Arike). It was the present of BSPW vs. The future of BSPW. Furiano showed much improvement and nearly had Fujita beaten at several points in the match, but Fujita used his experience and took Furiano almost 20 minutes where he finally put Furiano away with the Fujita Lariat scoring him two points in the tournament. His second tournament match was against American freelancer Stevie .C. Both men had time against them in this match as they took the match to a 30-minute draw! Both men earned a point from the draw giving Fujita three points total in the tournament. His final match in the R2H series came on 8/17/02 against Blizzard. The match ended less than 10 minutes and Fujita advanced to the semifinals.
Fujita's endurance would be tested in his semifinal match against "Angry Bear" Mutsuhito Kumamoto. The match lasted 25 minutes with Kumamoto, on several occasions almost getting the win, but the spirit of Fujita wouldn't die as Fujita won the match with his Dangerous Backdrop. He advanced to the finals of the tournament and was set to meet Black STAR leader Keiji Takano at "HYOGO EXPLOSION NIGHT" for the BSPW Golden Crown. The match was hyped as being the most important match in BSPW history. The match itself would more then live up to it.

The date: 9/08/02. Fujita met Black STAR rebel leader Keiji Takano. Takano shocked the crowd as instead of working on Fujita's neck, he worked on Fujita's arm. The match turned down right vicious as Takano used stiff strikes and dirty tactics to gain the advantage. Fujita stuck with his King's Road style as he tried to keep the pace of the match steady. Finally, after being fed up with Takano's MMA tactics, Fujita shocked the crowd as he himself got into his own MMA stance. Fujita at first overtook the young Takano with a tackle and mounting elbow shots. Near the end, both men were broken and bloody. Takano tried to use Fujita's own Dangerous Backdrop, but was caught by surprise when Fujita countered it with Takano's very own Takano Lock X! The hold was applied for nearly a minute. Takano refused to submit, but being human, he had passed out from the pain and the match was stopped. After 31 minutes and 31 seconds, Fujita was once again on top of BSPW as the Golden Crown champion, the only man in BSPW history to hold the title twice.

Fujita's second title reign as Golden Crown champion was ended in his first defense in a loss to MAMMOTH Furiano after 21 minutes of action. Fujita was ready to put away the young Furiano, then Furiano used a Flash cradle for the three count and to become the new BSPW Golden Crown Champion.

Fujita tried to rebound from his shocking loss during the "Burning Winter: DUAL SURVIVOR" tournament series to crown the first ever Golden Crown Tag Team champions. Fujita formed an Internal dream team with the BSPW Revolution Champion Tokyo REECO. They were given the name of "Team GOLDEN". The met the Black STAR team of Keiji Takano and Seiji "F'N" Kendora in the first round of the tournament. The rebel force was no match for GOLDEN as REECO pinned Kendora, and they moved on in the tournament. They met their second round opponents from Korakuen Hall. They faced Dragon's Rage, another Black STAR team. They showed to be more of a challenge then their previous opponents, as it too 18 minutes for REECO to put Kyojima away with the Toky-O-Matic to bring the team to the finals of the tournament. Their final opponents would be ANOTHER Black STAR team. They would face the highly inexperienced Black STAR rookies of CLUB '02, Wataru Kobe and Akitoshi Yoneda. Although they put up a valiant fight, Team GOLDEN eventually defeated them, as they became the first ever BSPW Golden Crown Tag Team champions.

Shortly after, Kazuma Fujita left BSPW reportedly after an argument with BSPW President Koji Tanaka. To this day, nothing is known about the subject matter that led to this flare up between two men who were the best of friends. Fujita focused his free time on his school's promotion, FURY. Due to financial constraints, FURY was forced to close operations. It was at this time when Fujita and Tanaka started talking, and on April 15, 2003, Fujita returned to Burning Spirit Pro-Wrestling.

However, BSPW would also be forced to close down due to the countries economy. Fujita gathered all of his resources, and along with what Tanaka had left, formed "REAL JAPAN PRO-WRESTLING". The company was made up of BSPW alumni and stars, and kept BSPW's legacy alive as they used the belts created in BSPW, the Golden Crown titles. Unfortunately, Real Japan would also collapse due to the stress of paying for such a large roster of stars. Due to the failure, Fujita lost his confidence, and questioned his status in pro-wrestling.

In an attempt to reinvent himself, Fujita announced that he would travel to the United States and begin wrestling for popular American company "SHOOT Project". Fujita was heavily hyped up on SHOOT's weekly television show, as he was a favorite of many in the company. However, others in the company did not understand Fujita's style of wrestling, and scraped all plans involving Fujita. Fujita would finally arrive for his first match in the company, but it would end early on in much controversy, and would never be given a proper finish.

Fujita returned to Japan; not a winner, but not necessarily a loser. While training for the match in America, Fujita unknowingly re injured his neck. It wouldn't until he returned to Japan that he began to feel numbness in his finger tips and suffered from terrible migraine headaches. After visiting a doctor, he was told that he had once again sustained massive damage to his neck and lower spinal area, and was bluntly told that he could not wrestle again. Fujita weighed the risks involved by continuing to wrestle, and decided that for the sake of his friends and family, retirement would be an option.

Fujita made his first public appearance in a month on FURY's 4/24/04 show, where he announced his injury, and that he may be forced to retire. He said that he would find a way to return to the ring, but in the event that he could not, he set up a "retirement" match for FURY's 5/31 event against an opponent to be determined later. That opponent would be Tetsuhisa NAKAI, the son of Fujita's mentor, Kendo NAKAI.

On 5/31, the "Golden Day" of Burning Spirit Pro-Wrestling, FURY held their biggest event in the companies history. In the main event, for the first time ever, Fujita would face one of his students in a singles match. The match was 31-Minutes and 48-Seconds in length. Both wrestlers nearly killed each other using every move in their arsenal. However, in the end, it would be the younger, and apparently stronger Tetsuhisa NAKAI that would win.

After the epic 5/31 match with NAKAI, Fujita considered his future in the sport of professional wrestling. For months, his movement was the talk of the Japanese press. Finally, Fujita announced that he would continue to fight, and announced the revival of Real Japan Pro-Wrestling. The group had more of a "showa" feel, with the product being geared more towards the days of UJPW in the 1980's and 1990's. The group featured Fujita as its biggest name, along with the latest graduate class of his dojo.

Unfortunately, the group could not survive with Fujita as the figure-head alone. Despite his best attempts to make young ace Shinsuke Takahashi into a viable draw, the company was forced to close down operations after a few months. Fujita announced that Real Japan would have its "Final" on Pro-Wrestling FURY's 2nd Anniversary show on 10/25/2004. The match saw Shinsuke Takahashi, Naoki & Takeshi Fukuda defeat Kazuma Fujita, Jun Kobayashi & Yoshiki Karube, closing the final chapter on Real Japan.

Fujita later attempted once more to start up a new organization, this time introducing his latest project, "OLYMPUS". The group was set to run monthly shows on a large scale. The first show promised to be a historical event, as for the first time in history, arguably the most popular native fight in the history of Japanese wrestling was set to face the most popular gaijin fighter in the history of Japanese wrestling, as Kazuma Fujita vs. "The Superstar" Jason Ramsey was announced as the main event for the first show. The group would gain immediate attention from the press at the announcement of the match... However, due to several problems with financial backers, and promotion was suddenly cut off at the legs, and was forced to cancel its first show, killing any momentum the company had...

Out of embarrassment, Fujita would vanish from the public eye for close to a year. But when it was mysteriously announced that Maki Kimura of KIKI Soft would be reviving the OLYMPUS name, and reopening it as an MMA organization, people wondered what this meant for Kazuma Fujita. In September of 2005, Kazuma Fujita shocked the pro-wrestling world, and announced that he would enter the world of MMA fighting. It was announced that Fujita would fight Canadian Olympian, Karlson Goold in the main event of the first event.

Later that month, Kazuma Fujita stepped into the Vale Tudo ring for the first time in over a decade. While many predicted a quick and brutal defeat for Fujita, he proved to be stronger than anyone gave him credit for, and lasted both rounds with Goold, and arguably won the fight on his feet... However, due to Goold's constant submission attempts on the ground, he was awarded the victory. Down, but not defeated, Fujita took the next two months off to train harder, leading to his victory over Egyptian fighter Husani Fahim in November.

Now, having felt proven in the MMA ranks, Kazuma Fujita announced his return to pro-wrestling on the night of his final MMA bout, in a thrilling KO win over Russian Kiril Lukin. Just hours after the fight, Fujita appeared in Kyoto during the intermission of P*J's debut show.

Fujita added an exclamation point to his return to pro-wrestling by winning PROMO * JAPAN's GPC tournament, and capturing the P*W*C Heavyweight championship in the finals of the tournament, with a thrilling victory over "Tokyo Ace" Mitsuharu Nogami in an early candidate for Match of the Year. Fujita would continue his unfortunate curse of short title reigns, as he would lose the PWC World Heavyweight title two months later, to the very man he beat to become champion, Mitsuharu Nogami.

Fujita stepped away from PROMO * JAPAN to compete as a freelancer. However, it would only be months before Fujita would return to PROMO * JAPAN, challenging Jason Ramsey to a match on New Years Eve! The match would become one of the highest rated pro-wrestling matches of the last ten years, and put Pro-Wrestling back on the map of Japan's Fighting Culture! Fujita would overwhelm the beloved Gaijin, and eventually beat him in a near forty-minute match to begin his second reign as PWC World Heavyweight Champion. Fujita's reign as PWC World Heavyweight Champion would last past even Pro-Wrestling ZION itself as the company folded in 2007. Despite that, Fujita would continue defending the belt well into 2008.

Later in 2007, Fujita shocked the wrestling world by pulling his funding from FURY in an attempt to kill his creation after the company nearly collapsed earlier in the year. Fujita's idea was to disband the group and use the strongest wrestlers from FURY to create a new group that would house many outside stars from other organizations. This group would begin to take shape towards the end of the year as Fujita formed "KAZUMA WORLD."

Fujita and his KAZUMA WORLD group warred with FURY for the next five months of 2008, culminating in an incredible F-MAX vs. PWC title unification match on 5/31 against Akira Takayoshi. Fujita was eventually bested by his student, and forced to give up the PWC World Heavyweight title. In defeat, Fujita admitted defeat, and apologized for his behaivor without asking for forgiveness. A month later, Fujita again stunned fans by signing a wrestler contract in FURY with the intention of earning the fans and wrestlers forgiveness match-by-match.
