- The 2009 Sakura Tag Festival continued in Aichi tonight, as on top of the actual tournament itself, Chikao Kessin would attempt to dethrone Ryo Inoue as the F-MAX Unified Heavyweight champion. But first, we opened with a six man tag, pitting the trio of Shigeru Iwasaki, Kenichiro Hujikawa and Jun Kobayashi against the UPRISER'Z team of Daisuke Iwata, Kyoto Okazaki, and F-MAX Jr. Heavyweight Champion Shin Kaiju. As has been the pattern lately, Iwata would eventually get himself disqualified for attacking Shigeru Iwasaki with a chain... However, the match had another interesting note, as Kyoto Okazaki came into the match using several "Fujita'isms," including correcting Eizo Hayakawa to refer to him as "Mr. 666%" Okazaki also attempted to use the "Outlaw Lariat" to score a near fall on Hujikawa...

- The Sakura Tag Festival continued with its third night of group matches. RYUJI and Manabe Tsuji managed to pick up their second win in the A Block, as their growing confidence led them to victory over Kotaro Ota and Fumihiko Shirai, after RYUJI spiked Shirai on the top of his head with the Tombstone Driver... Akira Takayoshi and Naoyuki Watanabe continued their winning ways as well, earning a victory over the mentor/protege team of Masafuji Yoshida and Tetsujin. Despite showing good guts, Tetsujin would eventually find himself pinned at the hands of Naoyuki's German Suplex hold... In the B Block, the DREAM HEROES continued to impress with a victory over Go Taniguchi and Kinniku Kamen Nisei, the "Baka Machineguns after GALLEON used the Genesic Clutch to get the better of Nisei... In the final match of the A Block, Tetsuhisa NAKAI and Ryuugo Nagashima once again failed to capture their first win as they faced the defending champion team of Otsuo Kayusa and Kyoshima Yosuken. Nagashima would show good skill early on, giving Kyoshima Yosuken everything he had. But in the end, Nagashima would be finished with Yosuken's Gotch-style Piledriver... In another hard-fought bout, Hiroaki Nakata and Yoshida would manage to keep their hopes alive with their second win of the tournament over the NEW FORCE team of Etsuya Kawachi and Hidaka Kamon. The NEW FORCE team gave everything they had, and scored several near falls. But in the end, Nakata would lay out Kawachi with the Zanzai Blow, giving he and Shimoda the deuce... In the final tournament match of the night, ATSUKA and YAKUTA faced off against TAKU and Mastodon Fukuda in a rematch of their 3/24 match for the F-MAX Tag Team titles. ATSUKA and YAKUTA were eager to avenge their loss, prompting them to hold nothing back. Unfortunately, their over-eagerness would cost them in the end, as ATSUKA missed his Shooting Star press attempt, allowing Fukuda to flatten ATSUKA with the Mastodon Splash, giving the F-MAX Tag Team champions their third straight victory!

- In the main event, Ryo Inoue continued his tour by making his second defense of the F-MAX Unified Heavyweight title, facing Aichi's own Chikao Kessin! The challenger received an incredible ovation from his hometown crowd, as chants of "CHI-KA-O!" filled the building. Upon Inoue's entrance, the champion seemed unamused of Kessin's overwhelming popularity. The bout pitted Kessin's strength against the technique of Inoue. For every action Kessin made, Inoue was quick to react, frustrating the challenger early on. However, Inoue's confidence soon got the best of him, as he opened himself to trade strikes with Kessin. And while Kessin's technique was less-than-refined, he had more than enough power to stun Inoue after a flurry of elbows. Kessin immediately pounced at the chance of putting Inoue away as he aimed for the Sekai Ichi no Backdrop. Inoue however countered with a grinding headlock, forcing Kessin onto his stomach, where Inoue continued to post his body upwards using his legs, forcing Kessin to use the ropes to escape. As the match progressed, Inoue continued to antagonize Kessin with kicks and strikes. Kessin finally had enough, as he BLASTED the champion with a short-ranged lariat from out of no where! As Inoue stumbled to his feet, Kessin followed up with a rush of slaps into the corner. He attempted to whip Inoue into the opposite corner, only for the champion to defiantly hang onto the ropes. Both champion and challenger struggled for supremacy, until Kessin finally used his brute strength to pry Inoue off the ropes, pulling him straight into the Sekai Ichi no Backdrop! The Aichi fans ROARED in cheers as Kessin covered the champion, only for Inoue to kick out at 2.5! Kessin continued to build a head of steam, as he laid into Inoue with hard strikes, climaxing with a BRUTAL Back Blow, staggering the champion! However, Inoue managed to recover, before retaliating with a DYNAMITE RIGHT HAND, STUNNING KESSIN! Inoue came charging at Kessin, ONLY TO BE CAUGHT BY A SCRAP BUSTER! However, something was wrong, as Inoue managed to pull guard around Kessin's large body, before LOCKING IN A TRIANGLE HOLD! Kessin tried his best to escape, while inadvertently helping Inoue to secure the hold even tighter! Kessin then tried to lift Inoue off the guard, showing off his incredible strength... Showing more and more desperation, Kessin finally DROVE Inoue into the mat with a modified Powerbomb... But again, the attack only gave Inoue the chance to tighten the Triangle! With no where to go, Kessin was finally forced to submit, solidifying Inoue's second defense!

Even after making his second defense, Inoue refused to take the F-MAX Unified Heavyweight title back, before knocking it out of President Hiroshi Nishida's hands... Over the microphone, Inoue half-heartedly praised Kessin's strength, but said that the a true warrior knows that there is more to being a fighter than just strength... Inoue then called out the name of Kazuma Fujita, noting his return to the ring on 4/25. Inoue said that once Fujita returns, he could no longer run away from his challenge!
