- Just as one tag league wrapped up, the fans packed into Shinjuku FACE witnessed another, as BREAK BLOW held a one-night lottery tag tournament. Just before kick off, the six teams were read off to the fans, along with the two teams that would be given a bye to the semi finals of the tournament...
- Hiroaki Nakata & Daisuke Yamazaki [DYNAMITE]
- Tatsumichi Akamatsu [DYNAMITE] & Shuji Kido [Nansei]
- Yoshihiro Shimoda & Hiromi Hasegawa [Ichimi]
- Manabe Tsuji & Jin Hiroto [Hokkaido]
- Kyuwa Suzuki & Akahito Yamada (BYE to semi finals)
- Chikao Kessin & Takayuki Ariwa (BYE to semi finals)
- The tournament kicked off with a huge match-up, as Hiroaki Nakata and DYNAMITE's Daisuke Yamazaki faced Yamazaki's fellow STRONGHOLD member, TATSUMICHI AKAMATSU and Nansei's Shuji Kido! The fans were most interested in the match due to the opening face off between Nakata and Akamatsu, who both seemed to be eager to test their mettle against one another. However, fans would only be given a tease, as before Nakata and Akamatsu could get anything going, they were both forcibly tagged out to their eager partners, bringing in Kido and Yamazaki. Both put on a thrilling encounter between both men seeking to prove their worth. In the end however, it would be Kido would would trap Yamazaki in a cross armbreaker, forcing him to submit... Yamazaki seemed distraught at the loss, but the Tokyo crowd showered him with praise and cheers...
- The the second first-round bout, partners faced off once again, as Yoshihiro Shimoda and Ichimi's Hiromi Hasegawa faced Manabe Tsuji and Hokkaido Pro-Wrestling's Jin Hiroto. Friends and partners Shimoda and Hiroto chose to face off against one another, as they put on a thrilling mat wrestling clinic, before switching things up to fierce kicks back and forth. In the end, both men reached a stalemate, forcing them to tag out to their respective partners. Tsuji dominated Hiromi with strength early on, forcing Hiromi to rely more on his cunning trickery to flash cradle Tsuji several times... But in the end, Tsuji finally caught Hiromi, before TOSSING him into the air, before CLUBBING him in the back of the head on the way down. From there, Hiromi was eventually finished off with Jin Hiroto's Dragon Suplex hold, allowing them to advance to the semi finals...
- We then had the first semi finals bout, pitting Tatsumichi Akamatsu and Shuji Kido against the fresh team of freelancer Kyuwa Suzuki and CRIMSON's Akahito Yamada... However, even after competing in one match, it was clear Akamatsu and Kido were a force to be reckoned with, as they they eventually took the bout after Akamatsu finished Suzuki with the Tatsubuster...
- But who would face Akamatsu and Kido? We were about to find out, as Manabe Tsuji and Jin Hiroto faced Chikao Kessin and CRIMSON's Takayuki Ariwa, who received a bye from the prior round... It was here that Tsuji and Hiroto's team began to fall apart, as their constant bickering allowed Kessin and Ariwa to gain the advantage... Eventually, Hiroto had enough, as he BLASTED Tsuji with an enzuigiri, allowing Ariwa to nearly decapitate Tsuji with the Angelos! From there, Tsuji was finished with the Splash Mountain, sending Kessin and Ariwa to face Akamatsu and Kido in the finals...
- After a brief intermission, we had the finals of the one-night tournament. It was the old adage or "Technique vs. Strength" as Akamatsu and Kido faced Kessin and Ariwa. Neither team held anything back, including their strikes, as Akamatsu and Kessin tore into one another with HARD elbows. Later, Kessin would actually bust Akamatsu's lip after a BRUTAL flurry of palm strikes into the corner. Ariwa also stood out to the Tokyo crowd, as he took it to the man who once domineered over Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON, Tatsumichi Akamatsu... Despite coming close several times to pinning the former "Supreme Commander," Ariwa would eventually fall after taking not one, not two, but THREE Jumping High Kicks to the side of the skull, giving Akamatsu and Kido the tournament win!
After the match, Akamatsu and Kido celebrated their win amidst the cheers of the crowd. BREAK BLOW producer Hiroaki Nakata returned to congratulate the winners... Nakata praised Akamatsu and Kido for their win, but said that he wanted to continue testing Akamatsu's mettle in the BREAK BLOW ring, before issuing yet another challenge! Nakata proposed for next month's BREAK BLOW, a four-match series take place between Akamatsu's "STRONGHOLD" faction, and an army of wrestlers hand picked by Hiroaki Nakata. Akamatsu appeared to be intrigued by the idea, and accepted! However, Akamatsu issued a challenge of his own, wishing to take their rivalry to the FURY ring, as he demanded a tag confrontation against Nakata on FURY's 5/08 show in DYNAMITE's backyard of Kanagawa! Without hesitation, Nakata accepted the bout.
