[6/01/2009] FURY News & Notes

- There has been a fallout of news since last night's historic Kyocera Dome Osaka event.

During the event's post show press conference, President Hiroshi Nishida expressed his anger at Ryo Suzuki for his words following his victory over Kazuma Fujita. After the match, Inoue announced his intentions to return to the Steel Wind Dojo without defending the F-MAX Unified Heavyweight title for the foreseeable future. Nishida said that he would never allow this, and has signed Inoue to defend the F-MAX Unified Heavyweight title NINE DAYS FROM NOW at Hakata Star Lane in Fukuoka! Who will step up to face Inoue? After his incredible return last night, Nishida has deemed NORIHIRO AKASHI the #1 contender to Inoue's crown! It'll no doubt be the biggest match in Akashi's career. Will he continue his amazing rise? Or will Inoue crush the supernova in his first time challenging for the title?

However, President Nishida isn't done with Inoue yet, as he has signed Inoue to face Otsuo Kayusa in a special non-title singles match two days later at Korakuen Hall. This match has been slowly building since Inoue's arrival to FURY. But finally, the two will face off. Inoue has made it personal since coming to FURY, with his treatment of Kenichiro Hujikawa. Now Kayusa will have his chance to avenge his kouhai.

Also on the 6/12 Korakuen event, Norihiro Akashi will have another special singles match, facing his generation rival Manabe Tsuji! The two have been fierce rivals since coming through the Kazuma Fujita Dojo. Even after their debut, their rivalry continued, and was accelerated when Tsuji joined UPRISER'Z in October of 2007. It had appeared that Tsuji had passed the "golden child," until Akashi's dramatic return last night.

Two other title bouts have been signed for June. The OKINAWA SPEED STARS have been granted a chance at OSAKA WILD STYLE's PWC Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team titles, and will get their shot at the belts on 6/18 in Osaka. The SPEED STARS earned their shot after Ota pinned RYUJI last night.

Also, Jet Jaguar will finally have his chance at Shin Kaiju's F-MAX Jr. Heavyweight title on 6/20 in Kyoto. The match has been building since Jaguar's arrival into FURY. Now, the two will face off in their first singles match since 7/16 of last year.
