[Results] 5/15/2010 @ IMP Hall

- Pro-Wrestling FURY returned to Osaka tonight for the last time before the 5/31 “DREAM + INFINITY V” mega show, in front of a full house in Osaka's IMP Hall. The card opened with a spirited tag match, with Masafuji Yoshida and Tetsujin defeating Hiroaki Nakata and Mamoru Sekishima, after Tetsujin cradled Sekishima with a schoolboy. After the match, Sekishima said that he wanted to have a big match on the 5/31 card, petitioning to President Hayakawa directly. Hayakawa unfortunately said that there was no room on the card. Masato Osagawa appeared, speaking up for Sekishima. He said that both Sekishima and Tetsujin deserved to be showcased in front of the Osaka fans on 5/31, garnering a big reaction from the crowd. Hayakawa thought to himself for a moment, before asking Osagawa if he was willing to team with Sekishima against Masafuji Yoshida and Tetsujin. Osagawa tried to decline at first, citing his desire to compete in a big match. However, after the fans began to boo his decision, Osagawa reluctantly agreed, figuring they would still get a nice Pay-Per-View pay day. President Hayakawa then revealed their bout would be a dark match, causing Osagawa to nearly faint...

- Daisuke Iwata and YAKUTA defeated Etsuya Kawachi and Hidaka Kamon in the second match, but only after Daisuke Iwata hit Hidaka Kamon with a groin attack, allowing YAKUTA to finish him with the Ace Driver. After the match, Iwata and YAKUTA issued an open challenge for 5/31. Jun Kobayashi and Kenichiro Hujikawa of REAL-ONE answered the challenge. However, as they confronted Iwata and YAKUTA, Kyoto Okazaki attacked the two from behind with a chair! KobaKen were quickly aided by fellow REAL-ONE member, Shigeru Iwasaki, who managed to run RAGNARÖK off. Afterwards, it was formally announced that Kobayashi, Hujikawa, and Iwasaki would face Iwata, YAKUTA, and Okazaki at DREAM + INFINITY.

- Fumihiko Shirai of the OKINAWA SPEED STARS faced HOT LIMIT's Wataru Yamada in something of a preview of 5/31's F-MAX Jr. Tag Title tournament. The match had a very rapid pace from start to end, with both men showing great technique and agility. Both men traded cradles, leading to finishers towards the end, with Yamada eventually winning out with his SS Arrow. After the match, Yamada took the house mic, and said that he and Keisuke Rongai would become “Kansai's #1 Tag Team” after 5/31!

- The next match pitted heels against heels as RYUJI, Manabe Tsuji, and Kyoto Okazaki of RAGNARÖK faced Pro-Wrestling DYNAMITE's Goro Iijima, Niwatori Ogawa, and Namenai Zinan. Given the participants, the match had absolutely no hope of a clean result. Almost immediately, the match broke down into an all-out brawl all over IMP Hall. Tsuji and Ogawa were both nearly counted out just four minutes into the match. Five minutes in, something resembling order was established with RYUJI and Iijima in the ring as legal men. However, as RYUJI backed Iijima into the corner, he began CHOKING Iijima! Referee Akinori Fuwa began administering a five count, only to be flagrantly ignored! After another stern warning, RYUJI SHOVED Referee Fuwa to the ground! Iijima recovered, before going after RYUJI! As the two throttled one another, Fuwa got back to his feet, before trying to separate the two men. It was now IIJIMA who shoved Fuwa down to the ground, this time with Fuwa taking a nasty bump on the back of his neck! Seeing enough, Head Referee Ed Sasaki jumped in, calling for the bell, rendering the bout a no contest!

After finally being separated, both sides hurled insults back and forth. Tsuji finally challenged both Iijima and Ogawa to a match on 5/31. Iijima refused, unless the match was a NO DQ DEATHMATCH. Tsuji accepted the condition, promising “ULTRA VIOLENCE” on 5/31!

- Nobusan lived up to his word, as his partner is indeed the mystery X participant in 5/31's BSPW Tribute match, as KANJI SAKAIGAMA made a shocking return to the FURY ring! Together, the two faced off against Masato Osagawa and the F-MAX Jr. Heavyweight Champion, Jet Jaguar. Nobusan went after Jaguar's mask again, tearing a large piece off towards the end of the bout. KANJI appeared to be the difference in the match, as he decimated the F-MAX Jr. Champion with two Violence Flashes, before spiking him face first with the Sex Pistol! KANJI set Jaguar up perfectly for Nobusan, who came off the top rope with the Firebird Splash, giving he and KANJI the victory! After the match, Nobusan taunted Jaguar, saying that he'd pin Jaguar again the next time they're in Osaka, and would expose Jaguar's grotesque face to the world. Sakaigama confirmed that he was the fourth participant in the BSPW Tribute match. He said that despite his problems with Burning Spirit Pro-Wrestling, it was a very integral part of his career. KANJI vowed to pin Kazuma Fujita, proving he is BSPW's All-Time Ace.

- Next, Ooinaru Waza, along with Kotaro Ota scored a hard-earned victory over the RAGNARÖK trio of Tetsuhisa NAKAI, ATSUKA and Yoshihiro Shimoda. RAGNARÖK controlled most of the match, and appeared to be on their way towards the win. Akashi however managed to make a valiant comeback, before finally putting ATSUKA away with a violent Ignition Crash! After the match, Akashi demanded NAKAI live up to his word and formally accept his challenge for a match on 5/31. NAKAI however said he had a change of heart, and would NOT accept Akashi's challenge. NAKAI said that after he captures his second consecutive “POWER SOURCE” title on 5/18, he would reserve himself to challenge the winner of the C-1 Heavyweight title match between Nobuyori Shimizu and Akira Takayoshi. This angered Akashi, who repeatedly called NAKAI out as a coward...

- In the next bout, Ooinaru Waza's Otsuo Kayusa, Seiji Sasaki, and Dusty Griffith scored a vital win over REAL-ONE's TAKU, Kenichiro Hujikawa and Shigeru Iwasaki in a preliminary match before TAKU and Go defend their F-MAX Tag Team titles against Kayusa and Dusty on 5/31. In the end, Griffith was able to squeak out the win after spiking Go on his head with the Northern Light Bomb! Afterwards, Dusty spoke on the microphone, vowing to become the first foreigner in history to win a FURY title. TAKU said if Dusty was a “WILD BRONCO,” he and Go were “HUNGRY LIONS,” and would catch their prey on 5/31.

- The semi final saw REAL-ONE and CRIMSON's HEAVY WAR faction go to battle under the unrestricted confines of a Street Fight. All six men appeared in street clothes with a plentiful supply of weapons. Toyota and Fukuda immediately began going at it in the entrance way with an exchange of elbows. In the ring, KobaKen used some unique double team attacks over Rui Kuriyama and Masakazu Fujimoto using a garbage can. Kuriyama however eventually used their tactics against them, as he smashed garbage cans into both Kobayashi and Hujikawa with a double lariat! Back outside, Fukuda and Toyota continued brawling around ring side. Eventually, the F-MAX Champion would be able to gain control after countering an oncoming Akuma Toyota with a shoulder throw, sending him crashing into the steel railing! With Toyota momentarily subdued, Fukuda returned to the ring to give REAL-ONE the 3-on-2 advantage. The three took turns whacking Fujimoto and Kuriyama with garbage can lids. Fukuda eventually hoisted Kuriyama up, before SPIKING him with the Mastodon Buster! Kuriyama seemed down for the count, until Toyota made his return, breaking up Fukuda's pin attempt! Toyota proceeded to take out all three members of REAL-ONE, beginning with a violent lariat to the throat of Kenichiro Hujikawa, followed by catching Kobayashi with a quick Powerslam! Fukuda tried to cut him off with a chair swing, but Toyota managed to duck out of the way, before SMASHING the chair into Fukuda's face with a lariat! As the match progressed, Toyota, Fukuda, and Hujikawa were all bleeding from their injuries. More weapons were in play as well, including a table. Kuriyama tried ram the F-MAX Heavyweight Champion into the table, but Fukuda countered, hurling Kuriyama face first into the wooden table! As Kuriyama stumbled back, Hujikawa came off the ropes, BLASTING him with the Axe Bomber K! Fujimoto tried to make the save for Kuriyama, only to walk into a VICIOUS running elbow from Kobayashi. With Hujikawa, the two hoisted Fujimoto's large body into the air with a double brainbuster! The two then helped lift Fujimoto across Fukuda's shoulders, who proceeded to SPIKE him with the Mastodon Buster! Naoki went for the cover, only for Fujimoto to kick out at 2.5! Toyota jumped back onto the apron to try and aid Fujimoto... Fukuda however cut Toyota off, BLASTING him with a chair shot across the head, sending Toyota flying backwards, crashing into the metal security railing! Kobayashi and Hujikawa then managed to place Fujimoto across the table in the ring, allowing the F-MAX Unified Heavyweight Champion to come off the top rope, plowing through both Fujimoto AND the table with the Mastodon Splash, giving REAL-ONE the victory!!

A bleeding and angry Akuma Toyota vowed revenge on 5/31, promising to return to CRIMSON as the F-MAX Champion.

- In the main event, two of Japan's greatest tag teams faced off in a very special best two out of three falls match, as Akira Takayoshi and Naoyuki Watanabe faced CRIMSON's C-1 Heavyweight Champion Nobuyori Shimizu and Toshiro Noguchi. This match is the first of two special preliminary skirmishes between Akira and Shimizu, who will face off for CRIMSON's C-1 Heavyweight title on 5/31. Tonight, Shimizu and Noguchi would steamroll over “TakaNabe,” going 2-0 over the former F-MAX Tag Team Champions tonight. The first fall went the distance, lasting over twenty-minutes. During that time, both teams showed off great technique and team work, showing why they are among the greatest tag teams in the history of Japanese Pro-Wrestling. The first fall came to a climatic end following a series of near falls between Noguchi and Watanabe, as Noguchi and Shimizu used their “Tsuyosa Thunder Hammer” double team attack to put down Watanabe... In the second fall, NEW FORCE appeared to be rallying back, with Akira scoring several near falls over Noguchi. However, Noguchi managed to make the blind tag to Shimizu, who lied in wait. As Akira tried to hook Noguchi for the Tiger Suplex, Shimizu made his move, cradling Akira with a Japanese Leg Roll Clutch, pinning his shoulders to the mat just long enough for the three count!

After the match, Akira said he couldn't fault Shimizu's tactics, saying the results speak for themselves. However, he said that tonight was in no way indicative of 5/31, and said that he would leave Osaka as the C-1 Heavyweight Champion!
