- Following the conclusion of FURY's 12/21 super show, the backstage was in a scene of chaos, as a bloody Ryo Inoue spoke to the press. Inoue insisted that he because he was not pinned, nor submitted, he was never beaten. Inoue's temper began to get the better of him, as he began kicking chairs around wildly, causing the members of the press to scatter in a panic.
President Hiroshi Nishida finally made his way backstage to address the issue face-to-face. Inoue demanded to know how Nishida would “remedy” the situation. Nishida of course, saying there was nothing to remedy, as Inoue had been beaten fairly. Obviously, this didn't please Inoue, who said the match was stopped in order to protect “Fujita's boy.” Nishida again insisted this was not the case, and said it was stopped for Inoue's safety. To make matters worse, Nishida told Inoue that because of his assault on Referee Edd Sasaki, he would be fined 25% of his purse. This seemed to be the last straw with Inoue, who lunged at President Nishida and SLAPPED HIM across the face, before shouting “TAKE IT ALL, YOU ROTTEN BASTARD!”
Inoue promptly left, leaving the room with an awkward silence as President Nishida pulled himself up. President Nishida apologized to the media, and asked for a ten minute recess before beginning the post-show press conference. After that duration, President Nishida (now sporting some obvious swelling) and other members of the FURY roster gathered into the media room of the Osaka Castle Hall. Apparently, the wrestlers had no idea what had happened to Nishida, as NAKAI asked about the welt on his face. Nishida tried to downplay it, saying he was involved in an “altercation” with Inoue, which caused an uproar among all of the FURY wrestlers. NAKAI however had an interesting reaction, saying how it was not right for Inoue to assault any official, but strangely, said he understands Inoue's feelings, and isn't too sure if he wouldn't have reacted the same way...
The press conference officially began with Nishida confirming the attendance of 16,315 fans, which is not just the first time FURY has packed the building, but also set the record for the largest crowd in company history. He thanked the fans for their help in making the event a gigantic success, and feels the Osaka fans will show even more passion and love when they advance upon the Kyocera Dome next year. Nishida said that tonight brought him full circle as an employee of the company, as the first show he worked as a member of the staff was the 12/21/2003 Osaka Castle Hall show.
President Nishida quickly addressed some questions that had been raised on the show, with the first being the reasons for the proposed Astoria, Oregon show being scrapped in March. President Nishida was vague, but simply said their research in where the best spots to run was faulty, and the company felt it would be best to set their sights on an area more populated with Asians, such as Hawaii.
Along with that, President Nishida briefly spoke about the announced show from China. Nishida revealed that in the last two years, “classic” shows of Burning Spirit-Wrestling had began airing in the country, along with FURY recently securing a television slot. Despite the fact that he has never wrestled there, Kazuma Fujita has become something of a prominent sports figure in the country. And two weeks ago, the company had received an offer from Ginko promotion group to hold a show from the 15,000 seat Taipei Arena in Taiwan. The show will take place on 3/18, ten days after FURY's Hawaii show.
President Nishida also addressed the several challenges and suggestions made in the ring tonight. Regarding the the idea of Kazuki Sendo's trial series, President Nishida officially signed off on the idea, but said he would leave the organizing to NEW FORCE, who will test whether Sendo is strong enough to join the faction... Speaking of NEW FORCE, President Nishida had confirmed with new PWC Jr. Tag Team Champions Jet Jaguar and GALLEON that their first challengers would in fact be Etsuya Kawachi and Hidaka Kamon. However, President Nishida said the time table for the match was currently unclear.
Also, after speaking to Nansei Nihon boss Kazuya Asakino on the telegraph, both parties have agreed that GALLEON will be the first man to challenge Shin Kaiju for the F-MAX Jr. Heavyweight title, stemming all the way back to July when GALLEON dealt Kaiju his only loss in the group stages of the J1-MAX League. While an exact date hasn't been determined, the match would take place in January, most likely in the Nansei territory of Hyogo.
