- Pro-Wrestling FURY released it's upcoming schedule for January, along with the first two cards of the new year!
The first two shows of the year will be titled, “NEW YEARS SMASH!!” with both nights taking place at Tokyo's Korakuen Hall on 1/01 and 1/02. Both shows will feature a battle royal with the winner receiving 500,000 Yen (approximately $5,000 US)! On 1/01, the heavyweights will take the stage as sixteen men will compete for the prize. On 1/02, fourteen juniors will face off for the 500,000 Yen. Both battle royals will take place under “time duration” rules, where two wrestlers will start, with a new competitor entering every sixty seconds. Eliminations can happen via pinfall, submission, or ring out.
In addition, FURY has presented stacked cards to accompany the two battle royals, along with the introduction of a new face. After several calls between President Nishida and Nansei Nihon boss Kazuya Asakino, it was been decided that the exiled Ryuugo Nagashima will begin competing on FURY cards as a freelancer. Nagashima will debut on the 1/01 show, teaming with Chikao Kessin against CHAOTICS members YAKUTA and Kotaro Ota.
In addition to the two Korakuen cards, the upcoming schedule for January was released, along with a big match signed for the 1/18 Hyogo show, as Shin Kaiju will make his first defense of the F-MAX Jr. Heavyweight title against Hyogo's own masked hero, GALLEON!
