[Results] "ISLAND ADVENTURE II in OKINAWA," 7/25/2009 @ Okinawa Prefectural Budokan

- FURY returned to the island of Okinawa for the second annual "ISLAND ADVENTURE" event. The show opened with a senpai/kouhai battle between Tetsuhisa NAKAI and Ryuugo Nagashima. NAKAI guided Nagashima through out the match, giving him several opportunities to show what he could do. Nagashima had showed good guts as he laid into NAKAI with hard elbows and chops. However, once NAKAI was satisfied, the power fighter broke Nagashima down with chops of his own, before finally folding Nagashima in half with a vicious Half Nelson suplex! Nagashima however impressed both NAKAI and the Okinawa fans by powering his way back to his feet! Unfortunately, it would lead him straight into a lariat from NAKAI, who promptly locked Nagashima in the Kendo Clutch, which forced Nagashima to submit... NAKAI praised Nagashima after the match, and told him not to let the result affect him, as its the experience that is important...

- The second match was originally supposed to be ATSUKA and YAKUTA facing the NEW FORCE team of Hidaka Kamon and Kazuki Sendo. However, it was announced that ATSUKA and YAKUTA had been detained on the main island, and would be replaced by the returning Shisa Star and Shisa Black... The bout was mostly comedy, with Kamon even trying to take Shisa Star's mask through out the match, claiming it belong to "Shirai-kun" (See last year's show for details.) In the end however, the power fighter of the "Double Shisa" team, Black used the Shisa Ace Driver to pin Sendo. After the match, both Shisas tried to speak the native dialect of Okinawa, but ended up failing... Finally, the jig was up, as both Star and Black removed their masks, revealing ATSUKA and YAKUTA. ATSUKA apologized, and said that he and YAKUTA would brush up on their Okinawa accent for next year's event, and finished by saying Pro-Wrestling FURY loved Okinawa!

- The next match saw the Okinawa return of Kazuma Fujita, who had not wrestled on the island since Burning Spirit Pro-Wrestling as he teamed with Masafuji Yoshida and Mamoru Sekishima against the REAL-ONE team of Jun Kobayashi, Go Taniguchi, and Kenichiro Hujikawa. Fujita was wildly popular among the fans, who roared every time he was tagged into the ring. The fans were even more ecstatic as Fujita would pick up the win, using his trademark lariat to pin Taniguchi. After the match, both teams shook hands. Fujita said that he was happy to finally return to Okinawa, and said that he couldn't wait until next year.

- One day after Shimoda's post-match attack on the WWA National Heavyweight Champion Hiroaki Nakata, both men squared off in a preliminary tag before their 8/11 showdown at Ryogoku Kokugikan. Shimoda teamed with fellow Ooinaru Waza member Norihiro Akashi, as Nakata paired with Tetsujin. It was a fierce contest, with Nakata showing contempt for Shimoda's actions yesterday. But in the end, it would be Shimoda would submit Tetsujin with the deadly cross armbreaker. After the match, Shimoda told Nakata that what he did yesterday wasn't personal, but said that he would come out of his J1-MAX slump by winning the WWA National Heavyweight title in Ryogoku. Nakata hit a low blow, saying that Shimoda was his kouhai, and would be treated as such when they meet on 8/11...

- NEW FORCE collided with Ooinaru Waza next in a drawn out six-man tag team battle, as Akira Takayoshi, Naoyuki Watanabe, and Etsuya Kawachi faced Otsuo Kayusa, Chikao Kessin, and Seiji Sasaki. The match was filled with exciting moments, and several near falls through out the match. But in the end, F-MAX Unified Heavyweight Champion Otsuo Kayusa would force Etsuya Kawachi to submit after an excruciating ankle hold. After the match, both sides bantered over the upcoming F-MAX Tag Team title match. Akira however said that after they retained their tag titles, he would wrestle the F-MAX Unified Heavyweight title from Kayusa's waist, making him a four time champion.

- The semi final saw Naoki Fukuda and Shigeru Iwasaki of REAL-ONE clash with TAKU and Daisuke Iwata of UPRISER'Z. However, the match would unfortunately result in a double ring out after the match got out of hand... The fans rightfully booed the result. Fukuda afterwards apologized for losing his cool, and called for UPRISER'Z to return for a match restart... TAKU and Iwasaki however refused, and gave Fukuda and Iwasaki four middle fingers before walking to the back... Fukuda once more apologized to the fans, and said they had every right to be upset. The fans appeared to have accepted Fukuda's words, and shouted cries of encouragement to both he and Iwasaki...

- In the main event, 2009 J1-MAX League Champion Jet Jaguar, along with two-thirds of the OKINAWA SPEED STARS, Fumihiko Shirai and Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON's Hayato Saigo, as they faced the UPRISER'Z Junior trio of Shin Kaiju, Kyoto Okazaki and RYUJI in a thrilling sprint that appeared to had made up for the previous double ring out. The focus of the match was Jaguar and Kaiju, who continued their feud in-and-out of the ring. Both took opportunities to tear away at each other's masks. In the end, it would be the CRIMSON Junior Dynamo Hayato Saigo who would seal the match after spiking RYUJI with a Brainbuster, followed by his spectacular Phoenix Splash! After the match, Kaiju attempted to assault Saigo, only to be run off by Jaguar. Jaguar vowed to return to Okinawa next year carrying Kaiju's mask as a trophy. Kaiju said he would do the same thing, except he hates Okinawa, and yelled, "FACK YOOOOOU!" before leaving to the back... Saigo and Shirai both addressed their home crowd in traditional Okinawa dialect. Saigo put over FURY, and said he would hopefully return next year. However, he promoted his home company Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON, and said he would work on holding a CRIMSON event in Okinawa next year...

Most of the FURY roster returned to the ring to end the show. Kazuma Fujita thanked the fans for their support. Fujita however said that they had started a tradition last year that they would continue this year, as everyone in the ring looked towards Fumihiko Shirai. As he backed away in the corner, everyone grabbed Shirai before forming a circle in the ring, where they began to toss Shirai's flailing body into the air, while Shirai let out terrified screams of "DON'T DROP MEEEEEEE!" And of course, on the third toss, everyone in the circle dispersed, sending Shirai's body crashing to the mat... The fans, along with everyone in the ring had a good laugh as Shirai pouted... Fujita however apologized, saying it was all in good fun. And in return, he handed Shirai the microphone, allowing him to close the show with the traditional "3! 2! 1! FURY!"
