[Results] 11/25/2009 @ Osaka Namihaya Dome

- Tonight, the 2009 F-MAX Summit tournament came to a close in front of a nearly packed Namihaya Dome in Osaka. Who would rise up and claim the throne, in addition to the right to challenge the F-MAX Unified Heavyweight Champion on 12/21? Before that however, we had a short, but pleasant opening tag match pitting Masafuji Yoshida and Tetsujin against NEW FORCE's Naoyuki Watanabe and Kazuki Sendo in what was something of a coming out party for Sendo, who picked up the pinfall victory over Tetsujin after his “Nice Hit!” seated running knee. After the match however, UPRISER'Z members RYUJI and Manabe Tsuji intruded, stealing Sendo's prized baseball bat, signed by former Hanshin Tigers manager Yoshio Yoshida! Backstage, RYUJI told reporters that both he and Tsuji were strapped for cash right now, and would sell the bat on an Internet auction...

- We then came to the first semi finals bout of the night, pitting Tetsuhisa NAKAI against Norihiro Akashi. The two have had their problems with one another dating back to August. Akashi attacked NAKAI before the bell, leading to a wild brawl outside of the ring. Once NAKAI gained his bearings, he punished Akashi with blistering chops. Back in the ring, NAKAI gave battered Akashi with hard blows and brutal suplexes, only for Akashi to defiantly kick out of the pin each time. Akashi eventually had enough, and managed to cut NAKAI's lariat attempt off with a lariat of his own. Akashi displayed incredible strength in throwing NAKAI's 126kg body around the ring. But even then, nothing Akashi could do seemed to weaken NAKAI enough for even a near fall. The tide appeared to turn after NAKAI countered Akashi's Ignition Crash attempt with a sickening Brainbuster, followed by a BRUTAL Powerbomb for a 2.5 count. NAKAI soon connected with his lariat, earning him another 2.5 count. However, as NAKAI went for a second lariat, Akashi managed to counter NAKAI, cradling him with a backslide for a 2.9 count! Both wrestlers scrambled to their feet, with NAKAI catching Akashi first, knocking him silly with a third lariat! As the 10:00 mark passed, NAKAI called for the end, before pulling Akashi to his feet. He finally hoisted him onto his shoulders, signaling for the MAX BULLET. However, as he swung Akashi's both downward, Akashi countered with a ROLLING FRONT CRADLE, PINNING NAKAI FOR THE FLASH THREE COUNT! The fans ERUPTED in shock as the gong sounded. but nobody was as surprised as NAKAI, who immediately sat up with his eyes widened and jaw agape. The fans finally came around, cheering Akashi's advancement to the finals! NAKAI left the ring seemingly confused, before finally taking out his frustration on a near by guardrail...

- Who would advance to the finals to face Akashi? We were set to find out as Naoki Fukuda had the arduous task of trying to defeat Keiji Takano. Both wrestlers tested each others mettle early on with strikes. Fukuda stuck to using elbows, while Takano precisely targeted Fukuda's body and legs with kicks. This led to some chain wrestling, with Takano excelling for the early going. Fukuda however found the openings he needed to counter Takano at every turn... Takano eventually was able to turn the tide after catching Fukuda with a high-impact Ipponseoi, giving Takano control of the match. Takano stuck to trying to wear Fukuda down with submissions early on, forcing Fukuda to eventually use his Mastodon strength to power out of a Chickenwing Facelock attempt. The Osaka fans were clearly on Fukuda's side through out, cheering him on at every turn. After the 10:00 mark, things finally picked up as Takano folded Fukuda in half with a German Suplex hold for a two count. From there, Takano unleashed a flurry of palms and kicks, before finally rocking Fukuda with a right leg high kick. With Fukuda wobbling, Takano aimed to finish it with the Axe Bomber, only for Fukuda to counter with a well-timed Mastodon Slam! As Takano scrambled to his feet, Fukuda followed with a jumping elbow in the corner, followed by a quick Backdrop. Fukuda ultimately tried to finish with the Mastodon Splash. Unfortunately for him however, Takano was able to tuck his knees, driving the air from Fukuda's body, leaving him open to Takano's wicked Axe Bomber! Takano went for the cover, only for Fukuda to reach deep and kick out at 2.5! A few moments later, Takano went for his Takano Lock A. Fukuda however was able to dead lift Takano in mid motion, before turning his body and connecting with the Mastodon Pump! With the fans soundly behind Fukuda, he managed to mount an incredible comeback, leading to him pummeling Takano in the center of the ring with vicious right-left elbows, before finally clocking Takano in the jaw with a rolling elbow! He was finally able to hoist Takano up, before SPIKING him with the Mastodon Buster! Takano however showed his Burning Spirit by kicking out at ONE! Fukuda wasted no time in pulling Takano up, before spiking him with a SECOND Mastodon Buster! Rather than go for the cover however, Fukuda scaled the top rope, before CRUSHING Takano with the Mastodon Splash! The fans erupted as Referee Ed Sasaki made the three count! The fans applauded the efforts of both men afterward.. After recovering, Takano approached Fukuda in the center of the ring, before finally extending his hand in respect. Fukuda finally accepted Takano's gesture, garnering a huge round of applause from the fans...

- Ooinaru Waza faced UPRISER'Z in a fun six-man tag next. Kazuki Sendo gained a measure of revenge at the end however, thwarting RYUJI as he tried to use the autographed baseball bat he stole from Sendo as a weapon, leading to RYUJI tasting Hujikawa's Axe Bomber K for the win... While Sendo appeared to have retrieved his prized baseball bat, he would be immediately attacked backstage by OSAKA WILD STYLE, leading to them stealing the bat once again...

- In the next match, Masato Osagawa, Fumihiko Shirai, and All Pacific Jr. Heavyweight Champion Kotaro Ota faced the UPRISER'Z trio of YAKUTA, ATSUKA, and Kyoto Okazaki. The match saw the usual heel tactics from UPRISER'Z, who attacked the mushozoku team from the opening bell. The match went back-and-forth until Okazaki finally hit Shirai with the Otokogoroshi, leading to the three count.

- In the seventh match, Hiroaki Nakata, along with Superstar Pro-Wrestling's Masahiro Sakamoto and Nansei's Shuji Kido defeated the Ooinaru Waza team of F-MAX Unified Heavyweight Champion Otsuo Kayusa, Chikao Kessin, and Seiji Sasaki. After the match, Nakata announced that with his tournament campaign over, he would resume focus on defending his WWA National Heavyweight title, citing 12/21 as his next defense. He said that his goal as champion was to strengthen the title, but also to defend against wrestlers outside of FURY, and announced that he would be holding a one-night tournament on his “BREAK BLOW Vol. 8” show on 12/04 to determine his next challenger. Shuji Kido stepped forward, announced his intentions to enter the tournament. However, Manabe Tsuji also appeared, saying that he would enter as well...

- During intermission, something of a blockbuster was dropped as it was announced that RYO INOUE would return to the Pro-Wrestling FURY ring on 12/21 to face... “THE SUPERSTAR” JASON RAMSEY in a Super Dream Match! The fans ROARED with cheers as both wrestler's names appeared on the marquee screen...

- In the semi final, Jet Jaguar finally got his chance to win back the F-MAX Jr. Heavyweight title as he faced “The Betrayer,” Yoshihiro Shimoda. Shimoda exuded an aura of charisma he had never shown before as the match started. Jaguar however wasted no time in attacking, throwing a flurry of elbows and kicks, with the champion doing his best to cover up. Shimoda finally cut Jaguar off with a cheap kick to the groin, earning him a shower of boos from the fans. Shimoda controlled most of the first half, cutting Jaguar off every time he tried a comeback. Shimoda garnered loud boos through out the match, largely for tearing away at Jaguar's mask. The challenger finally had enough however, and unloaded with a flurry of kicks to the body, before eventually hurting Shimoda with well-placed savate kicks to the ribs. From there, Jaguar turned it on, damaging Shimoda further with big moves, including a Fisherman Buster and a German Suplex hold. He finally caught Shimoda with one of his own moves, the Jujigatame. Shimoda however was able to reach the ropes for the break. Both wrestlers exchanged near falls towards the end, with Shimoda using the Torokeru Knee Kick, while Jaguar used the Spiral Bomb. Both wrestlers ultimately fought their way to the top rope, as Shimoda tried to finish Jaguar once and for all with an avalanche style Shinto Buster... Jaguar however fought Shimoda off, before trying to push him off. Shimoda however held on, while fighting back with fierce forearms. Finally, Jaguar smashed Shimoda's skull with a DULL headbutt, sending Shimoda crashing to the mat! From there, Jaguar leaped, before CRUSHING the champion with the Jaguar Special! The fans ERUPTED in cheers as Jaguar covered the champion, ENDING SHIMODA'S MONTH-LONG REIGN AS F-MAX JR. HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!!!

The fans responded in a mixture of cheers and surprise as Jaguar celebrated his second F-MAX Jr. Heavyweight title reign. Kotaro Ota, Fumihiko Shirai, and Masato Osagawa all met the new champion in the ring, with Osagawa proudly holding him on his shoulders... As ATSUKA and Kyoto Okazaki carried Shimoda away, Jaguar took the microphone and said that wrestlers like ATSUKA, Okazaki, and Shimoda were no longer relevant in 2009, and going into 2010. He stated that as F-MAX. Jr. Heavyweight champion, he wanted to face fresh challengers and give shots to rising wrestlers who have never been champions before. However, he addressed All Pacific Jr. Heavyweight Champion Kotaro Ota, saying that if Ota is successful in retaining his title against GALLEON on 12/21, he was interested in a potential double titles match. Ota smiled before shaking hands. Osagawa also spoke, saying that with Akashi and Fukuda in the finals of the F-MAX Summit tournament, this signified a changing of the guard in FURY nothing that wrestlers such as himself, Fukuda, Akashi, and others would lead FURY into 2010 and beyond.

- Speaking of the future, the main event would mark the first time a wrestler not named Nakata, Kubota, NAKAI, or Takayoshi would win FURY's annual November tournament as Norihiro Akashi and Naoki Fukuda squared off to determine the 2009 F-MAX Summit league champion. The fans seemed equally divided among the two wrestlers as they both made their entrances. Akashi appeared to be in better shape as compared to Fukuda, who sported several marks from his match with Takano. Unlike either of the two semi final bouts, both wrestlers took their time in coming out of the gate. The two milked the crowd for reactions, with all 6,000 fans taking turns cheering for both men. Finally, the two locked up, with the “Rampaging Mastodon,” Fukuda seemingly having the advantage. Akashi however came back, and managed to shove Fukuda half way across the ring, garnering a loud ovation. The two locked up again, which eventually led to Fukuda transitioning to a headlock. Akashi eventually tried to shove him off into the ropes, only for Fukuda to add even more pressure to the hold, stopping Akashi dead in his tracks. Akashi eventually was able to push Fukuda off into the ropes, only for Fukuda to bounce back, crashing into Akashi with a mighty shoulder block! While wobbled, Akashi managed to stay on his feet, before yelling at Fukuda to try once more. Fukuda obliged, as he came off the ropes once more. Again, Akashi stumbled back, but kept both feet planted. For a third time, Fukuda came off the ropes. This time however, Akashi cut him off, knocking Fukuda to the mat with a fierce shoulder block! Fukuda quickly rolled outside to try and recover. Akashi however didn't give him enough time, as he blindsided Fukuda with a BULLET TOPE, bringing the fans to their feet! As the early going progressed, the two kept a steady pace with one wrestler trying to wear down the other, only for the other to counter and use simple attacks as well. Things picked up shortly after the 11:00 mark as the two began to fight on the ring apron. Both wrestlers teased suplexing the other off onto the floor. But just as it appeared that things wouldn't come to that, Fukuda countered a dashing attack from Akashi, leading to him tossing Akashi into the air, before SPIKING HIM WITH A DEATH VALLEY BOMB ON THE RING APRON! Fukuda went for the cover after pulling him back into the ring. Akashi however was not ready to quit, as he kicked out after two. Akashi finally managed to comeback after avoiding Fukuda's oncoming lariat in the corner, leading to Akashi blasting Fukuda with fierce kicks to the body, before landing a snapping Axe Kick to the back of the head, forcing Fukuda to a knee. From there, Akashi unleashed a quick one-two flurry of kesagiri chops, before SMASHING into Fukuda with a rolling lariat! Akashi would actually go on to control the next five-minutes, showing the aura of a mature pro-wrestler. He displayed a versatile arsenal of attacks, ranging from simple strikes, to submissions, and a balance of powerful slams and technical suplexes. He would go on to score a near fall with a picture-perfect German Suplex. Fukuda was finally able to fight back after blocking the Akashi Trap, allowing him to cut Akashi down with a rolling elbow smash to the jaw! From there, Fukuda was able to dish out damage using his Mastodon Slam. The match finally reached the 20:00 mark, with neither man showing any signs of quitting. Both wrestlers eventually took the fight back outside, where their tempers temporarily got the better of them as they sent some fans scattering, before throwing each other their their unoccupied seats... Back in the ring, both wrestlers appeared to have reached something of a deadlock as neither man wanted to show any weakness during a brutal exchange of strikes. Both wrestlers went on to trade some of the hardest elbows imaginable for almost two straight minutes. Fukuda appeared to be winning out as he unleashed a rapid flurry of shots, causing Akashi to drop down to a knee... However, the moment Fukuda let up, Akashi struck back, landing another kesagiri chop, followed by a second rolling lariat! From there, he was finally able to fold Fukuda in half with the Akashi Trap, earning him only a 2.5! Akashi finally went for the kill as he aimed to finish Fukuda with the Ignition Crash. Sensing what was coming however, Fukuda struggled as hard as he could. It appeared to be to no avail however, as Akashi managed to lift Fukuda up... However, Fukuda was finally able to drop down Akashi's back, before dumping him on his head with a release German Suplex! As Akashi rolled to his feet, Fukuda BLASTED Akashi with a SICKENING lariat! Wasting no time, Fukuda lifted Akashi up, before driving him into the mat with the Mastodon Buster! Even then however, Akashi would still kick out at 2.5, showing his Burning Spirit was far from extinguished! Fukuda wasted no time in going for a second Mastodon Buster... Akashi however fought back, before pushing Fukuda chest first into the turnbuckle, leading to Akashi sandwiching Fukuda with a jumping knee to the back of the neck! Fighting off fatigue, Akashi followed up by connecting with his brutal Ignition Crash! However, he would be unable to go for the cover, forcing both wrestlers to lay prone on the mat! By the time Akashi was able to pull himself up, Fukuda was coming to. Akashi finally sized up Fukuda, before coming off the ropes with a lariat full of bad intentions... Fukuda however countered, landing a lariat of his own, causing both wrestlers to stumble back, before simultaneously shaking it off. After stereo roars, both wrestlers crashed into one another once again... On the third time however, Fukuda telegraphed Akashi with a military press... In an incredible display of strength and stamina, Fukuda pressed Akashi over his head SIX TIMES before finally plowing him into the mat with the Mastodon Pump! Rather than go for the cover, Fukuda climbed to the top rope, before CRUSHING Akashi with the same move he used to beat Keiji Takano, the MASTODON SPLASH! The fans ROARED in cheers as Fukuda went for the cover, only for them to come unglued as Akashi kicked out a 2.9! All 6,000 fans in the building were wildly cheering the exchanges, with Akashi earning himself deafening “A-KA-SHI!” calls. For the first time in the match, Fukuda seemed to be cracking mentally. Rather than letting himself get too dejected, he returned to the top rope, calling for a second Mastodon Splash... However, Akashi was able to counter by tucking his knees! With perfect timing, Akashi then managed to CRADLE FUKUDA! The fans ROARED as Referee Ed Sasaki made the count... ONLY FOR FUKUDA TO KICK OUT AT 2.999!!! With Fukuda still writhing on the mat, Akashi looked out to the crowd, before letting out a loud battle cry! As the fans responded, Akashi climbed the top rope, with his back facing the ring... Before he could follow up however, Fukuda managed to scramble to his feet and crotch Akashi on the top rope, before climbing up behind him! With Akashi stunned, Fukuda positioned Akashi for what appeared to be an AVALANCHE MASTODON SLAM, causing the fans to ROAR in concern! Realizing what was about to happen however, Akashi fought back with sharp downward elbows to Fukuda's neck to finally knock him back off... Fukuda however remained persistent as he climbed right back up, before BLASTING Akashi in the back of the head with a short lariat! Rather than go for the avalanche Mastodon Slam however, Fukuda climbed back down, before digging his head between Akashi's thighs to position him on his shoulder! With Akashi still dazed from the lariat, Fukuda carefully carried Akashi towards the center of the ring, before finally SPIKING HIM WITH THE MASTODON HADES!!! The place once again became unglued as Ed Sasaki dove to the mat to make the count as NAOKI FUKUDA BECAME THE 2009 F-MAX SUMMIT CHAMPION!!!

Roars of applause and cheers filled the Osaka Namihaya Dome as members of both REAL-ONE and Ooinaru Waza flooded the ring to tend to both wrestlers. Still divided, the fans erupted into a duel chant of “FU-KU-DA!” and “A-KA-SHI!” Unfortunately, Akashi would have to be stretchered out due to what he endured, garnering him even more fanfare from the crowd as they carried him away... Once Fukuda was finally able to stand, he was then presented with his trophy by Interim President Kazuma Fujita. Well-known pro-wrestling journalist Fujio Nomura then entered the ring to interview the tournament champion. Before Nomura could ask his first question however, Fukuda took the microphone and cried out, “OI! CHAMPION!” in reference to the F-MAX Unified Heavyweight Champion, Otsuo Kayusa, garnering a huge reaction! After being called out again, Kayusa finally answered Fukuda and appeared in the ring. Fukuda said that as the winner of the F-MAX Summit, he earned the right to challenge the champion on 12/21. His tone however surprised people, as he began to refer to Kayusa as his “senpai,” noting that during his dojo days, he studied under Kayusa, and said that other than Kazuma Fujita, he looked up most to Otsuo Kayusa, noting that they came from similar backgrounds (amateur wrestling.) He said that now he would achieve one of his dreams as a Pro-Wrestler in getting to face his senpai in a singles “big match.” Kayusa finally spoke, saying that he felt old being referred to as “senpai,” and joked that Fukuda was too big of a star now to refer to him as such. He congratulated Fukuda on winning, and accepted his challenge for 12/21. He said that he was in awe of both Fukuda and Akashi tonight, and said that the guard may be changing. However, he said that would be determined by whether or not Fukuda can beat him and lift the F-MAX Unified Heavyweight title off of him. He noted his disappointing results in the tournament, and promised that he would be completely reformed by 12/21, and would be ten times as difficult as Akashi was tonight. Fukuda smiled, before saying he looked forward to the challenge... After Kayusa left, Fukuda thanked the fans, along with his REAL-ONE companions in supporting him. He noted that 2009 had been a turbulent year for him, but said that both he and Pro-Wrestling FURY would end the year on a high note on 12/21, promising a proper end to what has been an eventful year in FURY... He finally lead the fans in the traditional “3! 2! 1! FURY!!” call to end the show...

- The group stage of the 2009 F-MAX Summit tournament came to a close tonight in the first leg of an Osaka double-header inside of the Namihaya Dome. The show kicked off with a fast-paced junior match pitting the “DREAM HEROES,” Jet Jaguar and Nansei Nihon's GALLEON against “The Betrayer,” F-MAX Jr. Heavyweight Champion Yoshihiro Shimoda and ATSUKA. The Osaka fans seemed taken back by Shimoda's new heel personality. Jaguar and GALLEON struggled early on, having to combat the rough-neck style of their opponents. GALLEON however managed to catch ATSUKA with his G-Crusher for the pin shortly after the 10:00 mark. After the match, Jaguar finally spoke out against Shimoda, telling him that he had turned his back on every fan that supported him over the last eight years. Shimoda interrupted, telling Jaguar not to misunderstand him. Shimoda said that his actions had nothing to do with the fans, as he would do anything possible to keep the new generation of FURY juniors from surpassing his generation. He promised to dispel Jaguar for good tomorrow in their F-MAX Jr. Heavyweight title match.

- After intermission, Kotaro Ota was set to make his second defense of Nansei Nihon's All Pacific Jr. Heavyweight title against Nansei's own Wataru Yamada. The two had a competitive match with both men trading control through out. Yamada had many fans in the building due to the close proximity to Hyogo, which gave him the support to score some big near falls. In the end however, Ota was able to suppress Yamada's Burning Spirit after connecting with the Nuevo Spark. After the match, Ota praised Yamada's efforts, but said he wanted an even bigger challenge from Nansei, leading to him calling out Nansei's Ace, GALLEON! “The Lion of Hyogo” answered Ota's challenge, saying that as the face of Nansei, it was his responsibility to protect was is theirs He noted that he admired Ota as a competitor, and had no ill feelings towards him. However, GALLEON said that he would accept Ota's challenge, and bring the All Pacific Jr. Heavyweight title back to Nansei. Ota was pleased with this, saying that he wanted this match to be held on GALLEON's home turf of Hyogo, leading to the match being made for “FURY WORLD 2009” at Kobe World Hall on 12/21!

- After intermission, we had the remaining four group stage matches that would ultimately determine who would advance to the semi finals tomorrow. First we had Chikao Kessin facing Keiji Takano. While advancing was an impossibility to Kessin, a loss for Takano would complicate his campaign to reach the semi finals. Takano however would ensure his chances by beating Kessin after trapping Kessin in the Takano Lock B. Kessin tried his best to fight, but with no where to go, he was forced to submit, securing his 1st place slot in the A Block...

His semi finals opponent would be determined in the next match, as Naoki Fukuda managed to put away Masato Osagawa in a fiercely competitive match. It would take Fukuda using two of his trademark Mastodon Splashes to finally extinguish Osagawa's Burning Spirit...

Akira Takayoshi met Norihiro Akashi in a match that would result in the winner advancing to the semi finals as the runner up in the A Block in what would be the match of the night. Akashi struggled early on, failing to keep up with the experience, agility, and strength of Akira. Halfway through the match however, Akashi began fighting back with incensed ferocity. Everything he was able to counter Akira, he made every shot count, slowly chipping away at Akira blow-by-blow. The closing moments had the 3,000 fans in hysterics. Akira nearly secured the victory after a flurry of lariats, before connecting with a high-bridge Tiger Suplex hold. Akashi however came back with fierce lariats of his own, before ultimately scoring a 2.8 count using a German Suplex hold, before rolling that into the Akashi Trap for a 2.9 count. Akashi aimed to finish the match with his Moonsault press, only for Akira to roll out of the way. From there, Akira unleashed a plethora of enzuigiris. After the third one however, something awake within Akashi, who BLASTED Akira with a piercing kesagiri chop, before following up with a bone-shattering rolling lariat, leading to another 2.9 count. With almost nothing left, Akashi was able to hoist Akira's body into the air, before IMPLANTING HIM with the Ignition Crash, driving every ounce of air out of Akira's body! Akashi followed with the cover, earning the shocking three count!

In the main event, familiar rivals Hiroaki Nakata and Tetsuhisa NAKAI faced off in their first singles match in over a year. Due to the shorter match length, the match suffered when it came to structure. As usual, Nakata stuck to technique and precision, while NAKAI used brute force to break Nakata's will. The closing moments saw Nakata unleashing hard kicks and strikes, leading to him finally connecting with the Zanzai Blow. NAKAI however powered out of Nakata's pin attempt at one, leading to him eventually connecting with a flurry of machine-gun chops, and later a half nelson suplex. NAKAI finally was able to spike Nakata with the MAX BULLET, only for Nakata to immediately pop up to his feet in a daze. This allowed NAKAI to come off the ropes, and finish Nakata with his trademark lariat, leading to the three count to secure his slot in the semi finals of the F-MAX Summit tournament!

After the main event, the remaining three semi finalists were called to the ring, bringing out Norihiro Akashi, Naoki Fukuda, and Keiji Takano. As if fate had ordained it, NAKAI will face off against the man who he has had problems with for over four months, Norihiro Akashi, while Keiji Takano will face Naoki Fukuda in the other semi finals bout. The two winners will meet up later in the night to ultimately crown the 2009 F-MAX Summit champion!

[Results] 11/21/2009 @ Hakata Star Lane

- The F-MAX Summit tournament hit Hakata tonight, with only two shows before the finals on 11/25. The first tournament match pitted Tetsuhisa NAKAI against Nansei Nihon's Shuji Kido. Kido took the fight to NAKAI, using kicks and elbows to try and break down NAKAI's resistance. NAKAI's strength and experience proved to be the difference however, as a brutal short-ranged lariat, followed by the MAX BULLET spelled the end for Kido... Chikao Kessin also scored his third tournament win over Jun Kobayashi. The two had a back-and-forth match until the end, where Kessin crushed Kobayashi with a brutal Sekai Ichi no Backdrop for the three count... Hiroaki Nakata was victorious as well in picking up his fourth win. However, it wouldn't be easy as he faced Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON's Masakazu Fujimoto. Nakata tried to work over Fujimoto's arms for a possible submission, but Fujimoto's strength made that difficult. Nakata finally resulted to brute-force tactics, using blunt kicks to break Fujimoto down, leaving him susceptible for the Zanzai Blow, giving Nakata the win... The next match pitted TAKU against Norihiro Akashi. The two have had a history with one another dating back to Akashi's rookie year, where was often bullied by TAKU in and out of the ring. Tonight however, Akashi was no longer a rookie, as he scored a huge victory with his deadly Ignition Crash, and as a result, ending TAKU's campaign... Technique beat out power in the next match, as Naoyuki Watanabe pulled out a flash cradle win over Masato Osagawa. Osagawa dominated much of the match, and aimed to end it with the Kaiju Lariat. Watanabe however countered, pinning Osagawa with a crucifix hold. While the loss doesn't knock Osagawa out of the tournament, it certainly makes his chances a lot smaller... In arguably the biggest upset of the tournament, Superstar Pro-Wrestling Ace Masahiro Sakamoto scored the biggest win of his career over the seemingly unbeatable Keiji Takano. Having beaten Kazuma Fujita in a near half-hour match on 11/18, and going to a time limit draw against Akira Takayoshi on 11/19, Takano's body was feeling the effects. Never the less, he held nothing back against Sakamoto, who was brutalized with kicks and elbows through-out the near 20:00 match. Sakamoto's guts however showed, as he broke Takano down with fierce elbows, before finally knocking him out with a jarring running elbow smash to the jaw! After coming to, Takano praised Sakamoto's fighting skill, saying he felt as if he was wrestling Jason Ramsey himself... In the semi final, F-MAX Unified Heavyweight Champion Otsuo Kayusa met his match against REAL-ONE's Naoki Fukuda, as the two took each other to the 30:00 time limit. Both wrestlers were exhausted towards the end, and made a mad dash to try and KO the other with elbows as the seconds ticked away. The fans applauded their efforts, while the two looked unsatisfied... Hometown hero Akira Takayoshi faced off against his mentor Kazuma Fujita for the first time since their 5/31/2008 match. Tonight however saw no different outcome, as Akira once again put Fujita away using the same move he delivered in over a year ago, the avalanche Brainbuster. The result was crucial to both wrestlers, as it eliminates Fujita from advancing, while it greatly increases Akira's chances....

- With one night of group stages left, it is still anybody's tournament! In the A Block, wrestlers that are still eligible to advance are: Keiji Takano, Akira Takayoshi and Norihiro Akashi. The 11/24 match between Akira and Akashi will ultimately decide the Block A winner and runner up. If Akira Takayoshi can defeat Akashi, both Akira and Takano will advance regardless of whether Takano wins his last group stage match or not. However, if Akashi beats Akira, it will create two possible outcomes: The first being if Takano defeats Chikao Kessin, both Takano (as winner) and Akashi (as runner up) will advance to the semi finals. However, if Takano is beaten, Akashi will win the block, while Akira and Takano will be forced into a playoff to determine the runner up.

The B block is even more chaotic, with four people still eligible to advance. As fate would have it, 11/24 will see NAKAI (#1) vs. Nakata (#2), and Fukuda (#3) vs. Osagawa (#4). The winner between NAKAI and Nakata will advance to the semi finals as the winner of the block. If NAKAI wins, that will eliminate Masato Osagawa from the tournament, as even if Osagawa can beat Fukuda, Nakata's prior victory over Osagawa would eliminate him as they are tied in points. If Fukuda is able to defeat Osagawa, he would advance to the semi finals as the runner up in the block unless NAKAI/Nakata went to a time limit draw. In that scenario, Fukuda would be eliminated due to suffering losses against both.

- The fourth night of the F-MAX Summit tournament emanated from Kyoto tonight in front of over 4,000 fans. In the first tournament match, Norihiro Akashi continued his tremendous reform by defeating Jun Kobayashi after using his brutal Ignition Crash. The win keeps Akashi's tournament hopes alive after suffering back-to-back losses on the first two nights... Masato Osagawa also scored a victory in defeating Nansei Nihon's Shuji Kido. Kido proved to be a difficult challenge early on before Osagawa's power finally won out... Kazuma Fujita got back on the winning track after last nights defeat to Keiji Takano, as he put down Chikao Kessin with his trademark lariat... In a big upset, CRIMSON's powerhouse Masakazu Fujimoto managed to score the win over Naoyuki Watanabe, giving him his second win of the tournament. Fujimoto surprised Watanabe with his aggression, and managed to beat him using his deadly “Mt. Fujimoto Bomb” Death Valley bomb... Coming off of a loss to Akira Takayoshi, TAKU faced Superstar Pro-Wrestling Ace Masahiro Sakamoto, who unfortunately had to deal with TAKU's frustration coming off of a loss. Sakamoto looked good through out the match, using his technical skills to try and put down the raging beast. TAKU's cutthroat tactics and aggressive style would prove to be too much however, as the Chojin Bomber spelled the end for Sakamoto... Hiroaki Nakata followed up his win over Otsuo Kayusa last night by pinning Naoki Fukuda with his Dragon Suplex in what was a tough match for both competitors. It came down to the wire, as either man could have taken it. Nakata however managed to tuck his knees as Fukuda went for his Mastodon Splash, allowing him to finish Fukuda with the Dragon Suplex hold... Despite being the semi final, the match most fans saw as the show's main event pitted Akira Takayoshi against Keiji Takano for the first time in a singles match. Both wrestlers took each other to their limit as the match would eventually reach its 30:00 time limit. Akira came close to beating Takano towards the end, who seemed fatigued after wrestling for nearly an hour over a near-24 hour period. After the match, Takano bestowed praise upon Akira, recalling the days where Akira was a “young boy” in Burning Spirit Pro-Wrestling. The two shook hands in a sign of mutual respect... In the main event, the F-MAX Unified Heavyweight Champion Otsuo Kayusa managed to score his second win of the tournament over last years winner, Tetsuhisa NAKAI in what was a fierce battle. Kayusa had to weather NAKAI's brutal style of chops and vicious suplexes early on, but managed to isolate NAKAI's ankle through out the match, before finally forcing him to submit...

- In the only non-tournament match, the Nansei Nihon Pro-Wrestling team of GALLEON, FALCON Hori, Wataru Yamada, and Keisuke Rongai invaded to face the united NEW FORCE/Mushozoku team of Etsuya Kawachi, Hidaka Kamon, Fumihiko Shirai, and Nansei's All Pacific Jr. Heavyweight Champion, Kotaro Ota in a fun junior sprint. In the end, it would be Ota's 11/24 challenger Wataru Yamada who would score the victory after using his SS Arrow on Kamon. Ota and Yamada faced off after the match, exchanging heated words before finally being pulled apart...

OOC: I feel I need to state that from this show on until 12/21, I'm going to be really phoning these cards in due to just how far I've fallen behind.

- The F-MAX Summit tournament continued tonight in Aichi, in front of a packed house of over 6,500 fans to witness a renewal of one of Pro-Wrestling's greatest rivalries, as Kazuma Fujita and Keiji Takano faced off in their first singles match since 2007. Before that however, there would be seven other important tournament bouts. First of which saw Naoki Fukuda defeating Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON's Masakazu Fujimoto. Fukuda struggled with Fujimoto's mammoth size and strength early on, but eventually drove out the air in Fujimoto's body with two consecutive Mastodon Splashes to pick up two points... Jun Kobayashi finally scored his first win of the tournament, besting Superstar Pro-Wrestling's young supernova Masahiro Sakamoto. Despite the loss, Sakamoto came within an eyelash of winning after unleashing a brutal flurry of elbows. It would take Kobayashi to use his limit breaking Niagra Driver to put the spirited Sakamoto down... Coming off his loss to Masato Osagawa, Tetsuhisa NAKAI redeemed himself with a win over Naoyuki Watanabe to keep his tournament hopes alive. Watanabe tried trickery to try and flash cradle NAKAI early on, but NAKAI's blunt-force power was too much for the technical master, as NAKAI's lariat would finally send Watanabe to the canvas... Norihiro Akashi continued his winning ways coming off scoring his first victory against Masahiro Sakamoto, as he pulled off a big win over fellow Ooinaru Waza member Chikao Kessin. It would take Akashi pulling out a vicious rolling lariat, before finally using a Moonsault press to keep Kessin down for the three count... Hiroaki Nakata also followed up his win over F-MAX Champion Otsuo Kayusa with a technical win over Masato Osagawa, using the Kido Clutch to cradle him for the three count. Even in defeat, Osagawa looked impressive, nearly beating Nakata several times within the nine-minutes the match lasted... In the next tournament bout, Akira Takayoshi and TAKU continued their never-ending rivalry. Like most of their encounters, their regular finishers wouldn't be enough to put the other down. It eventually came down to who would hit their limit breaker first: Akira's POSEIDON, or TAKU's Hinotama Buster. The answer would be Akira, who managed to finally connect with his Cobra Clutch Regal Plex to pin TAKU's shoulders to the mat... In the semi final, F-MAX Unified Heavyweight Champion Otsuo Kayusa finally scored his first victory of the tournament, submitting Nansei Nihon Pro-Wrestling's Shuji Kido with an ankle hold. Kido looked good in going against a renewed Otsuo Kayusa, only to fall short in the end...

However, all eyes were on the nights main event, as “Mr. 300%” Kazuma Fujita met his rival Keiji Takano. The match played off of their prior three encounters in many ways, such as the start, where both men assumed a mixed martial arts stance, leading to the two trading some kicks and palm strikes. Fujita however would quickly abandon the fighting style, and worked over Takano using his simple pro-wrestling style. The Aichi crowd actually seemed to favor Takano in the match, with shrieking calls of “TAKANO!” ringing from the audience through out the match. The support came in handy for Takano, who found himself on the defensive during the second act of the bout. Fujita eventually connected with his trademark Powerbomb, which he used to defeat Takano in their last match in 2007, only for Takano to kick out. Eventually, Takano managed to fight back with wild elbows, before tossing Fujita to the outside, where Takano began assaulting Fujita with a chair. Back in the ring, Takano maintained control using various submissions, before finally trapping Fujita in a tight triangle choke! The fans began to rally towards Fujita for the first time in the match, encouraging him to fight with chants of “FU-JI-TA!” Fujita finally found the strength to get to his two feet, where he managed to dead lift Takano into the air, before POWERBOMBING HIM INTO THE TURNBUCKLE! As Takano got to a standing position, Fujita tried to follow up with a crushing lariat in the corner, only for Takano to kick Fujita's arm away! Takano held out his arm while screaming, “AXE BOOMBAH!” However, as he went for the kill shot, Fujita ducked, before BLASTING TAKANO WITH A SHORT-RANGED FUJITA LARIAT! The match finally reached the 20:00 mark, as both men looked exhausted. Both wrestlers exchanged brutal brainbusters, only for them both to shake off the effects and rise to their feet. An exchange of slaps led to both men trading lariats. It had appeared that Fujita would win out, having arguably the strongest lariat in wrestling. Takano however won the exchange, clocking Fujita with the Axe Bomber, knocking Fujita to the mat! As the 25:00 mark approached, the fans became somewhat deflated, expecting a time-limit draw. Regardless, the closing moments of the match were nothing less than breathtaking, as Takano countered a Fujita Lariat with a Judo Throw, before transitioning into the Takano Lock X! The fans ERUPTED as Ring Announcer Eizo Hayakawa announced that there was thirty-seconds left in the match. As the seconds ticked away, it appeared that Fujita would survive the remaining time... However, with eleven seconds left, Fujita SUBMITTED, causing the fans to erupt in surprise! Fujita's face was beet red as Takano released the hold, showing that he was mere moments away from blacking out... The crowd gave Takano a huge ovation, as Takano scored his first singles victory over Fujita... After both men were tended to, the two rivals faced off in the center of the ring... Takano finally broke the silence, as he extended his hand outwards... Fujita sized him up, before accepting Takano's gesture...

- In the only non-tournament bout of the night, Jet Jaguar, Kenichiro Hujikawa, and Shigeru Iwasaki faced the team of “The Betrayer” Yoshihiro Shimoda, ATSUKA, and Kyoto Okazaki. Shimoda appeared with a new look, sporting jet black hair with one blond streak, along with long red-on-black trunks, and white boots. Shimoda showed a more aggressive style than usual, taking every opportunity to attack his 11/25 opponent, Jet Jaguar. Shimoda would eventually finish Shigeru Iwasaki with the Shinto Buster for the three count... After the match, Shimoda took the microphone and said that he, along with ATSUKA and Kyoto Okazaki would break the new generation of FURY Juniors, starting with Jet Jaguar.

- The F-MAX Summit tournament continued tonight in Hokkaido. In the night's first tournament bout, Keiji Takano earned his third consecutive victory to take control of the A Block while dealing Jun Kobayashi his third loss... Kobayashi showed guts early on, encouraging Takano to fight him with more than 100%. Kobayashi unfortunately got his wish, and ate a plethora of kicks before eventually being put down with a powerful Axe Bomber from Takano. Backstage, Takano voiced his frustration at the lack of "competition," saying that this is the third time he's been disappointed going against a FURY wrestler. He noted that his next opponent would be none other than his greatest rival, Kazuma Fujita. Takano cracked a smile, and said that they would "reacquaint themselves in Aichi."

- In a battle between outsiders, technique overcome strength as Nansei Nihon Pro-Wrestling's Shuji Kido forced Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON's Masakazu Fujimoto to submit. Fujimoto overpowered Kido with brute force early on. Kido however fought back with hard kicks, focusing on Fujimoto's left arm. While Fujimoto would mount another comeback, he would eventually find himself trapped in a nasty cross armbreaker. Fujimoto at first tried to use his power to defend, only for Kido to kick Fujimoto's right arm away, allowing him to use his hips to hyper-extend Fujimoto's arm, forcing him to submit! Despite the loss, Fujimoto earned high marks from the Hokkaido fans.

- Akira Takayoshi's campaign for a flawless F-MAX Summit came to a crashing end at the hands of Chikao Kessin, who finished his on again-off again rival with his deadly Sekai Ichi no Backdrop. Neither man held anything back against the other, and fought through tremendous adversity to show their Burning Spirit. Akira looked good during the early going, looking to finish the powerful Super Heavyweight as soon as possible. In doing so however, Akira gave Kessin the opportunity to counter, leaving him open for three consecutive Sekai Ichi no Backdrops. It would finally take Kessin using a flurry of back blows, followed by a fourth Sekai Ichi no Backdrop to put Akira down for good!

- Akira's fellow NEW FORCE partner Naoyuki Watanabe would also suffer the same fate in going against REAL-ONE's Naoki Fukuda. Watanabe's technical skill shined early on, but it would be the brute-force style of Fukuda who would break down Watanabe's resistance, before ultimately finishing him with the Mastodon Splash.

- The fans were given a break from the tournament in the fifth match, as Hokkaido's #1 son Yoshihiro Shimoda teamed with his 11/25 opponent Jet Jaguar, along with Seiji Sasaki against the UPRISER'Z trio of YAKUTA, ATSUKA, and Kyoto Okazaki... However, what would transpire would go down as one of the most shocking moments in the history of Pro-Wrestling FURY. UPRISER'Z attacked the babyface trio before the bell, isolating Jaguar in the ring, while UPRISER'Z members RYUJI and Manabe Tsuji held Shimoda and Sasaki on the outside. The three heels took turns attacking Jaguar for nearly three minutes, until Jaguar finally managed to evade their attacks, allowing him to take out all three with a flurry of kicks! Finally, Jaguar was able to tag out to the hometown hero, Yoshihiro Shimoda! The fans roared as Shimoda climbed into the ring... What would happen next however would leave everyone in the building speechless, as Shimoda BLASTED JAGUAR WITH A HIGH KICK! It was as if time had stopped, as everyone from the fans, to Sasaki, to YAKUTA, ATSUKA, and Okazaki stood in silence... Finally however, the tension was broken as Shimoda approached ATSUKA, and SHOOK HANDS WITH ALL THREE UPRISER'Z MEMBERS. The four continued to assault Jaguar in the corner, with referee Akinori Fuwa finally throwing the match out. To add an exclamation point to his betrayal, Shimoda ripped off Jaguar's mask before showing it proudly to all of the Hokkaido fans, who still didn't quite know how to react... Shimoda finally took the microphone, and said he figured he should explain himself. He noted that since 2003, he has been the flag bearer of FURY's Junior Heavyweight division, and has been recognized as Japan's best Junior Heavyweight wrestler for many years. He noted that over the last two years, there have been many new faces trying to surpass him in rank, noting Kotaro Ota and Jaguar as two examples. He admitted to feeling threatened by this, and felt that he needed to take action. He said that he felt the best way to prevent this generation from surpassing them is to unite with wrestlers from his generation, ATSUKA and Kyoto Okazaki. However, he made a strange comment, jokingly saying “Perhaps I am a “bad guy” now... However, while my allies are apart of UPRISER'Z, I have no intention of joining their cause.”

- After that shocking turn of events, the F-MAX Summit tournament resumed with two of Japan's “Next Generation Ace” candidates, as FURY's Norihiro Akashi met with Superstar Pro-Wrestling Ace Masahiro Sakamoto in their second ever meeting. Both wrestlers met during their rookie year in 2007, where Sakamoto soundly defeated Akashi. Tonight however, both men were far from rookies, giving off aura as two true superstars, and put on what most considered to be the best match of the night. The early going saw both men engaging in some mat wrestling, with the two proudly showing off their amateur pedigrees. However, Sakamoto proved to be the better amateur grappler, nearly cradling Akashi for a flash three count after shooting the half. Both wrestlers later tested the others mettle with an exchange of heavy blows, with Akashi favoring blistering knife-edge chops, while Sakamoto stuck to using hard forearms. The match had several near falls after the sixteen minute mark. However, while it appeared that Sakamoto would be on his way to scoring his second straight win over Akashi, FURY's Supernova came back, blocking Sakamoto's Superdriver and countering with a picture-perfect German Suplex! As Sakamoto got to a knee, Akashi fired off a BRUTAL kesagiri chop to the shoulder, before BLASTING him with a rolling lariat! The match reached a raging climax, as Akashi finally caught Sakamoto with the Ignition Crash, knocking Sakamoto out just long enough for the three count! The two shook hands after the match, showing their mutual respect for one another... Sakamoto noted his surprise as Akashi's growth since their first meeting, and asked for a rematch in the future.

- FURY's two resident power fighters faced off as defending tournament champion Tetsuhisa NAKAI battled the former Shin Kaiju, Masato Osagawa. It was nothing less than people were expecting, as these two bulls butted heads. The early going saw both men glaze one another's chest in red as a result of blistering chops, with neither man backing down. Chops turned to an exchange of backdrops, with neither man giving an inch. NAKAI eventually gained some traction after knocking Osagawa to the mat with a lariat. Osagawa however stunned both the fans and NAKAI after taking the MAX BULLET, only to kick out of the following pin attempt at ONE. Osagawa came back throwing a flurry of “Kaiju” hammers, softening NAKAI up for the Kaiju Lariat! NAKAI however returned the favor, kicking out of Osagawa's pin attempt at ONE! The two continued to trade big moves, fighting one another as a fierce pace. It ultimately led to an exchange of lariats, with neither man wanting to show any weakness. Osagawa finally blocked a lariat from NAKAI, allowing him to toss NAKAI's 126kg body into the air, before SPIKING him with a Death Valley Driver! Osagawa tried to finish him with a Powerbomb, only for NAKAI to block the attempt. As Osagawa tried to work him over, NAKAI countered with a spinning chop to the side of Osagawa's neck. Osagawa however fought off the effects of the blow, landing another powerful lariat, knocking NAKAI to the mat! Osagawa finally gathered his remaining strength, and managed to lift NAKAI's body into the air by his trunks, before BURYING HIM into the mat with a Last Ride Powerbomb! The impact sent shock waves through out the building as Osagawa went for the cover, picking up the upset victory!

- For the first time ever, Kazuma Fujita and student TAKU faced off in a singles match. Surprisingly, TAKU would abandon his usual antagonistic demeanor, and brought a serious approach in facing his mentor. Fujita tested TAKU early on with simple holds, before ultimately lighting him up with hard chops. TAKU however returned the favor, showing no weakness against Fujita. Eventually however, experience helped Fujita get the edge over TAKU, turning the heel into a surprisingly sympathetic figure with the crowd. TAKU finally exploded in a fit of emotion after ducking a Fujita Lariat, before plowing into Fujita with a vicious spear! TAKU followed, crushing Fujita's body into the mat with a Jackhammer for a two count. As the match progressed, TAKU gained more and more control over the match, as he managed to counter Fujita at nearly every turn. But even after a Chojin Bomber and the Kinniku Buster, Fujita refused to quit, leading to him countering TAKU's Atomic Hammer with a flurry of machine gun-like chops, before ultimately folding TAKU in half with a half nelson suplex! Towards the 13:00 mark, both wrestlers showed the scars of a match that would normally be well past the 20:00 mark. The closing moments finally saw Fujita spiking TAKU with a nasty brainbuster, only for TAKU to rise to his feet. An exchange of strikes led to TAKU avoiding Fujita's lariat once more, before lifting Fujita high into the air by his waist, before charging towards the center of the ring and plowing Fujita's body into the mat with a modified spear! As Fujita sat up, he left himself open to TAKU, who BLASTED Fujita with the Chojin Bomber! Fujita however showed incredible burning spirit by kicking out at one! As he sat up once more, TAKU came roaring off the ropes, this time catching Fujita with an ENZUI CHOJIN BOMBER, before ultimately landing ANOTHER Chojin Bomber, keeping Fujita down for the three count!!

- In the main event, F-MAX Unified Heavyweight Champion Otsuo Kayusa attempted to score his first win of the tournament against the WWA National Heavyweight Champion Hiroaki Nakata, who too aimed for his first victory. The match was a technical clinic as most would expect. Both wrestlers near each other well, and showed this by countering almost everything the other threw at them early on. Kayusa eventually broke the manotany by working over Nakata's kicking leg, softening the limb up for the ankle hold. Nakata however did his best to fight without the leg, using elbows and suplexes to weaken the F-MAX Champion. The two continued to trade offense through out the match. Eventually, Kayusa would score some near falls with the Olympic ASP, only for Nakata to come back with the Dragon Suplex hold (with one leg for the bridge!) Kayusa later tried to end it with the Uraken, only for Nakata to counter with a Backslide for a near fall! The match ultimately built to Kayusa sinking in the Ankle hold. The Hokkaido fans rallied behind Nakata. With their support, Nakata was able to get to a standing position, before escaping with a leg-feed enzuigiri! Nakata finally unleashed a sickening flurry of kicks to Kayusa's body and legs, eventually forcing him down to one knee, where Nakata BLASTED Kayusa in the side of the head with a buzzsaw kick! That wouldn't be enough to keep Kayusa down however, forcing Nakata to put all of the pain in his leg aside, before BLASTING Kayusa in the side of the skull with the Zanzai Blow! Nakata collapsed onto Kayusa's body while clutching his leg, allowing him to score the three count!!

- The second night of the 2009 F-MAX Summit tournament emanated from Miyagi tonight, marking FURY's first time in the province since 10/08/2008. The show opened with "Mr. 300%" Kazuma Fujita scoring his second consecutive win of the tournament over Jun Kobayashi. After putting up a valiant struggle, Kobayashi would succumb to Fujita's second lariat of the match for the result...

Masato Osagawa's momentum after pinning the F-MAX Unified Heavyweight Champion in Korakuen came to a sudden halt as Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON's Masakazu Fujimoto derailed him with using Osagawa's very own Death Valley Bomb, earning Fujimoto his first win of the tournament...

TAKU also avenged his night one defeat, pinning Chikao Kessin after a Chojin Bomber, an enzui Chojin Bomber, followed by one final regular Chojin Bomber. Backstage, TAKU publicly set his sights on his next opponent, Kazuma Fujita!

In the upset of the night, Nansei Nihon Pro-Wrestling's Shuji Kido scored perhaps the biggest victory of his career in pinning WWA National Heavyweight Champion Hiroaki Nakata in a stiff, technical fight. The two traded high kicks towards the end, with Kido winning out using his "Explosion High Kick."

Superstar Pro-Wrestling's young ace continued to struggle after falling to Akira Takayoshi tonight. Even in defeat however, Sakamoto left a lasting impression with both Takayoshi and the Miyagi fans. In fact, it would take two lariats, and THREE Enzuigiris to subdue Sakamoto for the match-ending Tiger Suplex hold...

The F-MAX Unified Heavyweight Champion Otsuo Kayusa continued to struggle in the tournament. While not losing, he would be taken to the half-hour time limit by Naoyuki Watanabe in what fans would describe as a superb technical match...

One match who shows no sign of struggling is Keiji Takano, who garnered one of the largest reactions of the night in defeating the fiery Norihiro Akashi. It was by no means an easy bout for Takano, as Akashi attacked him aggressively from the opening bell. Takano however showcased a superb defense in thwarting all of Akashi's big attacks, before eventually trapping Akashi in his deadly Takano Lock A! With no where to go, Akashi reluctantly submitted just moments before referee Akinori Fuwa stopped the match...

In the final tournament match of the night, Tetsuhisa NAKAI clashed with "The Rampaging Mastodon" Naoki Fukuda in a high-tension main event. Eventually, it would be NAKAI who would score his second straight win after spiking Fukuda with the MAX BULLET for the victory. Backstage, NAKAI said he had no intention of stepping aside for anybody, and promised to retain his tournament title.

- In tonight's only non-tournament bout, Nansei Nihon's Wataru Yamada and Keisuke Rongai traveled across Japan to face the OKINAWA SPEED STARS in a heat-up match for Kotaro Ota's 11/24 All Pacific Jr. Heavyweight title bout against Yamada. In the end of a fun junior sprint, it would be Yamada who would secure the victory over Fumihiko Shirai using his SS Arrow finisher...

The fifth annual F-MAX Summit tournament opened in front of a packed house in Korakuen, filling every possible seat within the venue. As the show kicked off, all sixteen participants in the tournament were introduced one-by-one. Each wrestler entered wearing a ceremonial sash around their shoulder bearing their name. All sixteen participants were given the chance to give their thoughts on the tournament. Comments ranged from the usual "I will do my best" to TAKU, who vowed to go undefeated, and retire every wrestler in his block. The fans were particularly interested in the comments made by Keiji Takano, who said that it was an honor competing in the tournament, and said he simply wanted to fight the best. Kazuma Fujita spoke finally, saying that he was still the gatekeeper for his generation, and promised to show the wrestlers that his spirit still burned. This raised the ire of his opponent tonight, Norihiro Akashi, who SLAPPED Fujita across the face, before leaving!

1. F-MAX Summit - Block B: Naoki Fukuda [2] beat Shuji Kido [Nansei] [0] (10:58) with the Mastodon Splash. [**1/2]
[COMMENTS:] The first tournament match of the night saw Naoki Fukuda face Nansei Nihon Pro-Wrestling's Shuji Kido in the B Block. Both wrestlers had their game plan: Fukuda with his short-burst attacks, and Kido with his strikes and submissions, creating an interesting clash of styles. Despite being less experienced, Kido looked impressive early on, working over Fukuda's legs with sharp kicks. This would play into the match later on, as Kido used various submission holds targeting Fukuda's leg. Even when Fukuda began to mount a comeback, Kido fought defensively, and would ensnare Fukuda in an achilles holds and hizajujigatames. In the end however, Fukuda's experience and strength would win out after connecting with a lariat, the Mastodon Slam, and finally the Mastodon Splash to secure the three count!

[INTERVIEWS:]
Naoki Fukuda: "Winning on the first night is a great feeling... I'll use this momentum to propel myself to the tournament finals!" [...] "Kido? He's exceptionally skilled for somebody of his experience. But tonight wasn't his night."
------------------------------
Shuji Kido: "I did my best... This is all I could ask for." [...] "This is by far the biggest challenge of my career. One loss will not deter me!!"

2. F-MAX Summit - Block A: Chikao Kessin [2] beat Masahiro Sakamoto [S-PRO] [0] (9:24) with the Sekai Ichi no Backdrop. [**1/4]
[COMMENTS:] The Ace of Superstar Pro-Wrestling, Masahiro Sakamoto began his campaign facing one of FURY's stalwart walls, the "Heavy Tank," Chikao Kessin. Despite the short match, Sakamoto showed the heart of an Ace in taking THREE Sekai Ichi no Backdrops within the first two-minutes of the match, only to comeback with brutal elbows, nearly striking Kessin into unconsciousness! However, when Sakamoto was unable to use any of his other prime attacks, such as the Superdriver, Kessin came back, punishing Sakamoto with a flurry of back blows, before catching him with the Scrap Buster. Sakamoto attempted to resist one final Sekai Ichi no Backdrop, but eventually succumbed to the attack after a back blow to the back of the head, keeping the spirited Sakamoto down!

[INTERVIEWS:]
Chikao Kessin: "Sakamoto is strong--stronger than I even imagined. The fact that it took me four Backdrops to keep him down is a testament to his strength..." [...] "Last year I made it to the finals of the tournament. This year, I plan on winning! DOSUKOI!!"
------------------------------
Masahiro Sakamoto: "...Damnit!!" [...] "While my goal is to represent Superstar Pro-Wrestling, Sensei (Jason Ramsey) told me that wins and losses did not matter. What is important is that I gain experience and growth in my matches. Even in defeat, I feel that I've grown stronger."

3. F-MAX Summit - Block B: Tetsuhisa NAKAI [2] beat Masakazu Fujimoto [CRIMSON] [0] (14:25) with a lariat. [**1/2]
[COMMENTS:] Two bulls collided head-on as Tetsuhisa NAKAI faced Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON's Masakazu Fujimoto. The match had the typical strong man spots, with both men demonstrating incredible power. Fujimoto ran away with the match in the later portions, scoring a near fall after using both his MONSTER Buster and diving senton. NAKAI however came back after avoiding Fujimoto's "MONSTER RUSH!" shoulder tackle, and countering with a crushing lariat! NAKAI followed up with the Half-Nelson Suplex for a 2.5 count. NAKAI then gathered all of his strength, allowing him to lift Fujimoto's massive body, and spiking him with a brainbuster for another 2.5 count! NAKAI finally smashed into Fujimoto with a second lariat; this time giving him the three count!

[INTERVIEWS:]
Tetsuhisa NAKAI: "I've won this tournament twice now. I have every intentions of winning my third this year. When I do, I'll expect everyone in the media to call me "Mr. November!!" [...] "Fujimoto is strong, but I was stronger!!"
------------------------------
Masakazu Fujimoto: "Hmm... Yes, he was stronger tonight... I'm disappointed in myself having seen Toyota beat him so decisively!! I have much to learn, I suppose..."

4. F-MAX Summit - Block A: Akira Takayoshi [2] beat Jun Kobayashi [0] (9:08) with the Tiger Suplex hold. [**1/4]
[COMMENTS:] While by no means an easy win, Akira Takayoshi had an impressive performance in beating Jun Kobayashi for his first win of the tournament. Kobayashi brought an aggressive offense early on, allowing Akira to counter and fight defensively until making his big move. In the end, it would take Akira a brainbuster, a flurry of enzuigiris, and finally his Tiger Suplex hold to pin Jun's shoulders to the mat.

[INTERVIEWS:]
Akira Takayoshi: "I wanted to make a statement tonight by winning. This is only the beginning for me!!" [...] "I will be pulling for Naoyuki in the tournament. Hopefully we will have an all NEW FORCE finals...?"
------------------------------
Jun Kobayashi: "...Unfortunately, Akira exploited my faulty game plan. I'd expect nothing less from him..." [...] "I won't worry so much about one loss. I have Fujita next in Miyagi!"

5. F-MAX Summit - Block B: Masato Osagawa [2] beat Otsuo Kayusa [0] (13:15) with the Last Ride Powerbomb. [***1/4]
[COMMENTS:] Certainly the biggest upset of the night, as the former Shin Kaiju, Masato Osagawa makes his first big wave as a heavyweight in pinning the F-MAX Unified Heavyweight Champion! Kayusa held nothing back against Osagawa, using his usual style of suplexes and leg work. In fact, Osagawa's ankle would be a constant target for Kayusa, who came close to submitting him with his ankle lock at several points. Osagawa however pushed through the pain, and scored many near falls using his diving body press, and Death Valley Bomb. In the end, Osagawa caught Kayusa on the middle rope, where he carried the F-MAX Unified Heavyweight Champion towards the center of the ring, before lifting Kayusa up by his trunks, before PLOWING him into the mat with a vicious Last Ride Powerbomb for the three count!

[INTERVIEWS:]
Masato Osagawa: "If I can defeat the F-MAX Unified Heavyweight Champion, there is nobody that can beat me!!" [...] "All of the other heavyweight fighters are on notice! If they thought Shin Kaiju's dominance as a Jr. Heavyweight was impressive, they haven't seen anything yet! Remember that!!"
------------------------------
Otsuo Kayusa: "...Perhaps I underestimated him, but I won't use excuses. I was beaten tonight..." [...] "As the champion, it's my responsibility to be the standard-bearer. Tonight, I didn't live up to that..."

6. F-MAX Summit - Block A: Keiji Takano [Takano Gundan] beat TAKU (10:00) by referee stoppage. [**3/4]
[COMMENTS:] Tonight, in front of a rabid Korakuen Hall crowd, the "Strongest Heel of FURY" faced the "Aomori Terrorist," Keiji Takano! TAKU tried to lure Takano into a brawl, but Takano kept the match on his terms in the ring. TAKU appeared to be no match for Takano early on, who established dominance with brutal kicks and elbows. TAKU however would seize control using every shortcut possible. The closing moments saw Takano unleash his Axe Bomber, only for TAKU to completely disregard the attack and bounce back to his feet! Takano proceeded to brutalize TAKU with knees and elbows before locking in a front sleeper! TAKU tried to use his strength to break free, leading to him even lifting Takano's body off the ground. As TAKU tried to toss Takano off however, Takano transitioned to a front neck lock, dragging TAKU's neck to the mat with him! Despite being in an impossible situation, TAKU refused to submit, and rather let himself pass out into unconsciousness, forcing Referee Edd Sasaki to stop the match!

[INTERVIEWS:]
Keiji Takano: "While I wish he was smart enough to just submit, I admire his guts..." [...] "My goal in competing in this tournament is merely to face the strongest wrestlers Japan has to offer. So far, I'm unimpressed."

7. F-MAX Summit - Block B: Naoyuki Watanabe [2] beat Hiroaki Nakata [0] (15:57) with the Dragon Suplex hold. [***1/2]
[COMMENTS:] The upsets continued tonight, as Naoyuki Watanabe scored his first win of the tournament by pinning Hiroaki Nakata with his own Dragon Suplex hold! The match started slow, with both men using their precise technical skills to establish control. The pace quickened with time. Nakata led a vicious onslaught with his brutal kicks, while Watanabe spent most of his time fighting on the defensive. The Tokyo crowd rallied behind Watanabe as the underdog, and roared with excitement after every counter. Watanabe began to trip Nakata up shortly after the ten-minute mark, using various cradles and pinning predicaments to try and steal the win. When it became obvious that trickery wouldn't work, Watanabe fought Nakata blow-for-blow. The two traded release Dragon Suplexes, leading to Watanabe connecting with a Shining Wizard, followed by his Shining Kenka Kick for a 2.5 count! Watanabe tried to seal the match with a German Suplex hold, only for Nakata to pull a trick out of Watanabe's play book, and counter with a front cradle for a near fall. Nakata tried to finish with another Dragon Suplex, leading to both men struggling back-and-forth. Eventually, Watanabe won out, as he folded Nakata in half with a Dragon Suplex hold, pinning Nakata's shoulders to the mat for the three count! The fans erupted with surprise!

[INTERVIEWS:]
- Naoyuki Watanabe: "...I admire Nakata's strength, but this was a battle between two dragons. And tonight, my dragon was stronger!!" [...] "Tonight, both Akira and I won. This will continue!"
------------------------------
- Hiroaki Nakata: "...I could say I underestimated him... But the truth is I did not. I did my best, and failed... All I can do is work even harder in the matches to come."

8. F-MAX Summit - Block A: "Mr. 300%" Kazuma Fujita [2] beat Norihiro Akashi [0] (23:55) with a Powerbomb. [***3/4]
[COMMENTS:] The young and brash Akashi challenged the high elder of Pro-Wrestling FURY, Kazuma Fujita. Despite the eventual result, Akashi showed incredible growth against Fujita. The early going was dominated entirely by Akashi, who dug into Fujita with hard elbows and knees. Having enough, Fujita eventually fought back, using blistering chops and thudding knees to the body. However, Akashi refused to back down, and used his strength to power Fujita around the ring. Akashi garnered a huge ovation mid-way through the match, as he collided head-on with Fujita, using a lariat. Fujita fought back however, using his own Fujita Lariat to send Akashi crashing to the mat! Fujita used more chops on Akashi, leaving his chest with a red glaze. It made no difference to Akashi however, who put everything he had into thudding elbows to the side of Fujita's head. Akashi was eventually able to hoist Fujita up, and fold him in half with a picture-perfect German Suplex hold for a 2.5 count, only to follow up with a second lariat, this time sending Fujita to the canvas! Akashi's tenacity however would come back to bit him, after Fujita countered a third lariat attempt with a brutal half-nelson suplex! After Akashi kicked out of the ensuing pin attempt, Fujita sent Akashi crashing back to the mat with incredible force after using a high-angle Nodowa Otoshi! Akashi however won over fans after kicking out of Fujita's pin attempt! As the match approached the twenty-minute mark, it was clear Akashi was spent, and was going on pure burning spirit. Fujita tried to extinguish Akashi's flame with BRUTAL knee kicks to the body, which softened Akashi up with a sickening vertical Brainbuster! Even then, Akashi had enough strength to kick out at 2.8! Fujita finally tried to end it after going for his trademark lariat. Akashi however countered with a go-behind, before clasping his arms around Fujita's and folding him in half with the Akashi Trap! Fujita however kicked out after two. This prompt Akashi to come off the ropes, only for Fujita to counter, blasting Akashi with a crushing lariat! Akashi scrambled back to his feet in a daze, allowing Fujita to come off the ropes, CRUSHING Akashi once more with the Fujita Lariat! Fujita went for the cover, only to be SHOCKED as Akashi kicked out at 2.999! Finally, Fujita lifted the near-unconscious Akashi, before hoisting him up and FOLDING him in half with a brutal Powerbomb, while using his weight to pin the tenacious Akashi to the mat for the three count!

The fans roared in cheers and applause for both men, with many fans split between chants of "FU-JI-TAH!" and "A-KA-SHI!" While Akashi was tended to by his fellow Ooinaru Waza members, Fujita walked over, and raised the arm of the unconscious Akashi, garnering a big reaction from the Tokyo fans...

[INTERVIEWS:]
- Kazuma Fujita: "Tonight, my goal was to show that my spirit still burns! While I respect my students, I have no intention of stepping aside! If they want to surpass my generation, they're going to have to get past me first!" [...] "I was greatly impressed with Akashi. With time, he will realize his full potential."
------------------------------
- Norihiro Akashi: "...Damnit!!! I respect him, but I know I could beat him!!! Takano! I will make my claim by crushing you in Miyagi!!!"

F-MAX Summit

The F-MAX Summit tournament was established in 2004, replacing the "Revival Series" tournament as FURY's annual tournament to determine the strongest heavyweight. The tournament was originally called the "F-MAX WORLD" League, but was renamed to the "F-MAX Summit" in 2006. The tournament also led to the renaming of the KFD Heavyweight title, which came about after Akira Takayoshi won the tournament in 2007, en route to renaming the KFD Heavyweight title to the "F-MAX Heavyweight title" upon capturing the title in December of the same year. Assuming that the reigning F-MAX Heavyweight Champion also doesn't win the tournament, the eventual winner becomes top contender, and is allowed to challenge the champion on 12/21 at Osaka Castle Hall.
